raves have to be better,the music for a start and they're all dead friendly there. clubs round here are usually open from 10-2 and it's dead for the first 2 hours every time. only 2 hours of enjoying yourself in a club? not enough for me. i might end up knackered after a rave but after a night of clubbing i'll stay up and watch tv or go on the net. it just doesn't do it for me,raves all the way!!
and so they got their flaws,so have clubs...more than raves

Sorry mate, misunderstanding. I didn't mean it like that, I meant the security are quite likely to cop a feel during the search! When you get your bollox felt and not your wallet searched you kinda get a bit worried!

i can honestly say that i've never had my cods felt on my way into clubs or raves - although, at one party there was this absolutely *gorgeous* bouncer and i found myself wishing that she'd search my intimates ... until i remembered what i'd hid down there

Well i most definately would say raves are far better. The bulk of the clubs/bars here play manly top 40 music which i can't stand :P And when something good come on that u can dance to u usually have to be careful cause there is undoubtedly broken glass all over the floor :P
People who drink here always seem to get overly rowdy. Few times i have had people want to fight me...no idea y either???
however we do have a few more underground style clubs which for the most part only ravers go to...so there the atmospher is almost as good as a rave.
But still the other downfall with clubs like this is that the venue gets kinda stale after a while...some old club week after week :P Nothing compares to a full on rave imo.

well, both have very different atmospheres and i guess it depends on how your feeling.

Raves are better if you've just broken up with your BF/GF...cos the people are nicer, BUT if all your friends are more Trancish or Popish then you get dragged to the nightclub til 2 in the morning then go back to someone's house and wake the neighbours with some good Hardcore!!! 
Another bad thing about clubs is they're just not big enough...You always end up squished against a wall

Also, IMO the best place to be when I'm newly single and starting to feel the pangs of loneliness is in a sleazy club, surrounded by a lot of cheap'n'nasty sl*ts.

the closest ive come to being at an *underground* rave would have to be ones that were held at Castles on Castlereagh street.
