Maybe I should do like Wilky and post illegal d/l links everywhere?
If you do, I assure you immediate legal action will be taken. Thanks.

Yea, like I'd want "Went to jail for uploading the most crapiest hardcore album ever made" on my resume...

We're pleased to hear that you won't. We're also really looking forward to looking at some of your work, all artists in this forum are encouraged to forward new music and show off their existing production talents as they may be for consideration by any one of my clients. It really is the survival of new music for fresh talent to keep coming through and for as yet unnoticed talent to be encouraged to share their skills with the World.
Could you link me to the sales page of a three disc album that you have produced yourself or have produced a disc thereof, that has had similar positive, constructive or even negative feedback, has sold thousands of units and has topped every industry chart that matters?
I look forward to seeing this work and to give it giving it positive, constructive feedback, review and necessary criticism.
JB :)

Come on JB, this is weak. The "I'd like to see you do better" argument is always irrelevant on internet forums. People are here to post their opinions of the CD, whether they like it or hate it...people don't have to be doing something similar to openly criticize something they don't like. It's their opinion, and even if you think that opinion is stupid, or holds no weight - you make yourself look mightily unprofessional by trying to defend it in such a passive-agressive way...you're really not making your product look any better by trying to judge and challenge people you don't even know because they said something you didn't like. Please grow up.

that's capitalism for you. Talent is measured in income.
And I have shown my oppinion by not buying the album. As a sales person, you should check out why I don't want to buy it, instead of bloating "you do it better yourself then" attitude. If you've read the gaming news in december, you can clearly see that "going down" on a customer is a bad thing, especially on the internet.

I do agree that the album isn't perfect, but tbh I think you guys are being absolute *******s. Hes just the messenger. Its his job to do this- and you all say "Herp derp if you're in it for the music, you wouldn't care about piracy"
That isn't true at all. They still have a label to manage. They printed thousands of copies, paid for artwork, producing, mastering, and whether you like the ****ing music or not, it took a lot of work. The least you could do is refrain from taking the piss on a guy who's just doing what he's been hired to do.
Also, sorry I haven't replied to your PM yet, I will tonight.

I do honestly not prefer the music, but some of you are acting like five year olds. Its no surprise producers don't listen to you.

Well I would've stopped talking shit about the album, but he loves to trigger trolls, especially with comments like that.
But then. What If I really liked the tunes on the album, and wanted to buy the tracks as WAV, so I can burn near-mint-cd-quality? I couldn't because of the region lock. And I already knew that I could buy it from iTunes.

If you read what people said, AATW apparently released a statement saying they didn't intentionally region lock it and that they're looking into fixing it.

Have to go with dys7 on this one. Passive aggressive or not he is way worse than some of us regulars on here. Blaming the new guy for the trend that this topic is going is too USH-like. Come to think of it this whole week has been like that, and we're just doing it to ourselves.

I disagree. Sure, the comment about legal action was fine, but when Samination said he didn't like it, the guy came out with the most childish nonsense I've heard in a long time. A forum is a forum, opinions get posted on them, if you can't take people's opinions - don't read them. This is "Music DISCUSSION - Hardcore" not "Music PROMOTION - Hardcore".

Personally I'm against region locked music. I understand shipping CDs internationally can be costly but have mp3 downloads for other countries at least. I'm not sure I understand why this isn't the case. Can anyone explain? It seems like a product control issue.

Dys: the image was actually refered to hardcore music, not clubland :P
Anyways, if people haven't noticed, I changed the title of the thread.
And Dys, again... AATW has ALWAYS uploaded their stuff region-locked. It's not a misstake they did just for this album, Alot of the early Futureworld and Darren Styles stuff wasn't avaible until TrackItDown "unintentionally" released the tracks.

I will say that doesnt make much sense.

You just represented your company with one of the most childish remarks ever made.
"Lets see you do better" is a pathetic response. You are a shambles! This is the entertainment industry! We arent competing with you, we are CONSUMERS. We buy, you sell and TRY to satisfy us. I can not believe that AATW sent you to represent them on a forum like this?! The oldest and most pathetic response ever, and amazingly the only other person I've heard say similar is Gisbo. Thats a disgrace.
Since you are clearly new to your job, let me explain why your statement is so ****ing retarded. A consumer buys products with his disposable income. A competitor competes for a market share by releasing similar products. Now Samination is a consumer. Thats reasonably clear... Therefore Samination does not produce or compile and distribute chart topping albums. Even if he did, the sheer capital AATW can throw into CXH makes it a pretty unfair fight, thus making CXH so commercialized is has an unhealthy monopoly in the small Hardcore industry. The very essence of AATW investing in Hardcore is creating the huge gap between top tier and everyone else.
The very reason I cant stand Clubland albums so much is soley down to the fact that wherever a group of about 4 artists feel like going and whatever they produce is transpired throughout the entire industry trying to follow suite. Thats why the 'Dubcore' style will have such an impact on the scene, and thats why its received so much hostility.
THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK DUMBASS.
