So, you lot! This year looks like it'll be a pivotal one for Hardcore (either good or bad) so lets share our thoughts on what we think it'll bring.
Who do you think will be the big dj's/producers of the year?
Who will break through to join the upper ranks?
What will the scene look like by the end of 2012?
What are your personal (hardcore related) wishes and goals for the year?
Try and be positive please!

Complete change. So much of it that I can't even begin to answer those questions, put it this way - by dec. 31st 2012 when we look back at the year we'll be saying 'Jesus, so much happened this year'.

My thoughts exactly. A lot of stuff has been happening lately as it is, and this year has just started!

Well the darwin and fracus album will come out an more than likely so will dougal and gammers. Hopefully there will be a HU6 this year as well.
Definitely think that NG100 and BB100 will be out this year, and it'll be big and badass. These two labels rarely disappoint. I just hope they each have their own separate 100 release instead of combine the 2. There's plenty of talent from both labels to make it happen. Maybe a double CD, one NG the other BB that would be awesome.
And I have a feeling that there will be a backlash from all this CXH drama. More of the bigged name djs shouls consider releasing their own material as a download or album form. Lesser known ones will push their styles more by releasing more material and mixes. I have a feeling there will be a handful of new producers out there that will grab our attention.

It looks more and more likely that people will release artist albums.
I expect to see lots of unmixed artist albums. Fracus & Darwin will release their second, Kev Energy released one, Re-Con & Demand, Klubfiller is planning one and I'm sure that there wil be loads more.
The way forwards.

Ha ha! Very good!
Yeah, Andy Dee. Just been talking to FluxxFace about him on MSN. The man has been out of this world with his last few tracks.

- Clubland hardcore 9 will be 3 disks of a long continous fart noise.
- Breeze will become housebound as his head will be too big to get out of his front door.
- HU6 will feature 4 disks of 35+ tracks a disc with an average of 2 mins a track and 70% will be fracus and darwin.
- The new style will destroy all that is musical within the scene.
- the independant small labels will be where the good music is.
- Olly thumpa will save the scene.
- Dubstep will become so gay and stale it will fit hardcore utterly.
- Scott brown will nearly make a track.
- Brisk will make a load of cracking tunes and not release them.
- Compilations will suck even more than they have this year which is only surpassed by 2001/2002.
- Eufeion and entity will be the shining lights for anyone who likes their hardcore with some muscial influence.
- Gabba will again kick the arse out of hard/dub/electrocore. It's such a gabba year for me.

Freeform will also fly far IMO. 2012 is the year of freeform really going next level.
In other music I think trance is gonna get better this year...lol which is kind of ironic when you think about it. I would crack up laughing if trance became popular just as the 'new sound' began to dominate everything. Anyway Above and Beyond will either crank up their game even further as they are pretty much becoming one of the biggest names in electronic music at the moment. And psytrance will just get so weird that it actually does end the world from it's bizzareness.

I could picture that happening, sounds legit enough. Maybe not the Gabba part, I'm not a huge fan of it.
