For the people who missed my presentation I'm still new to happy hardcore and a weird question stumbled into my mind some minutes ago, is there any happy hardcore songs that is in fact really sad? or is it not possible with this genre of music.
It's not exactly sad but I wouldn't call it candy-like cheeze either. It kinda fits with what is now (or at least last decade) called uk hardcore.
In the 90's you'd hear a lot about e-happy dj's which were using it as inspiration for creation. I for one stopped taking extacy quite a while ago and I feel it reflects on what, and how, I listen nowadays. I like emotional stuff, sometimes dark, and it wouldn't surprise me to find out other producers have taken such an approach to production as well.

Other than that, uhhh I dunno man. Hellfury, help me out here!
Also, are we defining "happy hardcore" as 90's only or everything '92 to present?
Hah! it's true, though! The lyrics ARE depressing when you think about 'em, but on extacy everything sounds happy. especially toy-like pianos, bouncy kick drums and girls singing along. hehe.

funny how it was named "I Can't Live Without You" on absolute hardcore 3 (I think it was #3), and I could clearly hear her sing "I can" :P
