Semiotics is basically visual communication, translating messages through design. In this case I use them to clue toward where the idea came from. Connote is basically another word for suggest

It's quite clear what the avatar means,
There are 10 white objects these signify the white rave go-ers, the other two red objects represent the woodens you see at a rave, he chose red as it is a primary colour and cannot be made up from other colours, the background he chose as black. This signifies all the non whites standing on the outside wanting to gain entry but cannot due to white man. Basically it's just plain racist
