what do u think?
dizstruxshon were doing cd packs for 1 event but then went back to tape packs. and now when u buy a helter skelter tape pack u get a cd with it
with the human trafic 1 pack i got djmark eg & m-zone tape on cd
then with 10years of hardcore u get a the force & styles tape on cd & dj sy's tape on cd pluse dj sy & mc storm dvd from the awakening 2001.
so do u thing they will eventualy make all the tapes on cd
or will they do both and reduce the tape pack prices ,tape pack £15 cd pack £25
do u think they will do this and have them all on cd aswell as tape?
i do.
hardcore uproar!!!

yer so do i its more "rave like" innit
but still it would be nice to have cd packs because what happens if say in 10years they stop making tape decks and yours is broken??
then wat?
so i think cd packs would be a good idea ,,but LONG LIVE TAPES!!!
hardcore uproar!!!

you get no royalties from em

I wouldnt mind seeing more cd packs...tapes have a nasty habit of f*cking up pretty easy - most of my helter skelter technodrome '95 tapes went out the window 'cos of constant listenin in cheapass tape decks.
Ouch...

I love tape packs! cd's in my opinion are crap because they get scratched and damaged more easily and jumpy cd's are so annoying, all of my tapes last longer than my cd's. so long live the audio cassette!

i agree with nick, well i would if i had tunes out, cos then everyone gets your tune at no profit to you. BUT...they kick arse
plus you can re-live past experiences and if you get shouted you'll have it on tape.
As for cd packs, sod that, tapes are around and theyll stay around forever!! - Hula hoops advert

Well you treat ur Cds like crap then! Cds are far superior to tapes. And altho i'd like to see CD packs i doubt we ever will. The odd Cd from an event will do me tho ;)
Also has anybody ever transfered a tape to a CD? Does it sound okay? And has anybody used one of these programs to "clean" the sound of the recording so its nearish CD quality????

yep i record tapes onto cd all the time
r they as good as a original cds? no there better ,u can make the volume louder, add more bass, and the sound quality can be made better. (but this might be because my cd recorder is a proper soundrecording recorder worth £600
i can do cd-cd tape-cd vinyl-cd (and even radio-cd but i never do)
the tapes onto cd can be done in tracks so it mixes in properly
if you do the recording right my f&s tape from millenium jam is on cd and has 17 tracks no stopping between tracks it sounds the same as the tape but louder and i have add the bass volume
hardcore uproar!!!

it wouldnt be so bad if the promoters booked you once in a while, at least you'd get something back.

Heh tapes are shit simple as. CD's are far superior.
Maybe the artists should sue the people making tape packs for copyright if they're that bothered?

Tape packs are straight bootleged copies of artists tracks, the artist or label does not get any money from them, like Nick said if they did CD I would except there to be big problems.

^^ umm, if tape packs are bootlegs anyway, then what's the difference if they became cd-packs. Same deal with the no royalties thing, innit?
