To be honest, i wouldn't give a damn about winning an award these days. Horrible musicians like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, David Guetta and many others win even way "more important" prices and awards.
I really don't want to say that they can be compared to this commercial crap as well, it's more that my personal experiences over the past 15 years have showed me that high quality barely get's noticed and rewarded.
If I would be a producer I care more about the reactions of people on forums like this one, because approx 95 % are speaking through their true hearts only.

I can't answer that because I don't know. Deeper Love & Need You More vocals were recorded at 140 and then time stretched, so maybe it's a standard thing?
I do believe it is - not in the sense of them trying to get people to do dubstep remxies though.
140 timestretched to 170 generally sounds a LOT better than 170 stretched to 140. It's just a way of making the vocal more applicable to all kinds of things.

Or they just joined forces because they were tired of doing all the PR and digital distribution stuff on their own because they only want to focus on music production and gigs.

I only came across this today and have started to have a go. The vocal was in quite a dark progressive key so I've spent most of my time switching it to a more happier sounding vocal. You guys think some average joe can win this or you think this one is as good as won already?
Well regardless of that I'm gonna have a go see what I can do :-)

Also I know there's a lot of negativity floating about regarding FW. But I think personally they're doing good things and things like this are positive thing, releasing quality vocals for anyone to have a go. I see that as a good thing :-)
