i would like to know what you guys think about mc's at raves. i have been to a few raves with mc's and for me personally some guy blabbing away ruins the music 99.99% of the time. maybe there are good mc's out there but i havent heard one that i have liked.

from what ive heard...
Hixxy DJ'ing and MC Sharkey on teh set are meant to be WIKIDDDDD i have a tape of them, dont know the name of it tho cuz i got it off a friend and i gotta say......!!!!

Mc's dont always play full time at raves, my option at hyperspeed, the mc really lifted the crowd. Mc losty did a find job, aswell when sharky and losty had a go at the same time.
IMO i think there are either really good Mc's or really bad ones.

There's a lot of good MCs...problem is when they're bad, they really can ruin a good DJ set. Sorry you don't have any good ones around you, but you'll see a few that impress you someday I'm sure.

 i think mc's r good if they get it right like MC Whizzkid, but when there shit they are normally very shit and it ruins the whole jam!

i think mcs r shit. the only time an mc goes wiv the music is in drum n bass. i got the hardcore cd from mixmag and i think the mc'in ruins the music

MCing can be great.. but it can also be utter shit. The MC has to learn when to shut up and when to actually roll out some lyrics. In one corner we have Storm, Whizzkid etc. who are good.. then in the other we have Stixman and Magika who are just.. well.. useless, apart from to laugh at of course.

i also got the cd from mixmag i think some of the mc'ing in it goes well with the cd, but alot of it spoils the cd!

A good MC is an MC who knows when to talk, but also knows when the music can talk for itself... And I happen to like only those MC's :)

I used to think that as well. But I have to credit some mc's. I still think that most of em arn't really any good. But some of em bring in a vibe that mekes it all that more special. But they have to be really good and know when to chat and when not to. Ragga mcs on jungle are wicked

as long as they dont talk over the vocals in a tune or over lush breakdowns then they can be ok. they belong in a live setting and not on a cd imho tho
