So Gammer has posted a video on Facebook stating a release date of January 12th for Gammer ft Becci - Never Look Back on a new label called 'Together We Rise' which is the same name as the NYE rave in Southampton.
quote: Gammer & Becci - Look Back (Available January 12)
So my friends and I at ?Together We Rise? have decided to branch the brand out into a record label as well, with the goal of getting good quality Hardcore out at a consistent rate! I mean its ridiculous that this track be coming out a year after it was finished
You can check the full thing here - www.soundcloud.com/TogetherWeRise
I?ll be managing the label (and I?m seriously ****ing excited about it) so if you have any questions feel free to shoot them into the comments below ^.^
#TWR
All forthcoming releases from Gammer will be on TWR.
quote: Breeze is still running futureworld, he's got a talented roster including michael scout, tyler and reynolds, static etc But no all my release will feature on here now, as well as breeze, styles, recon, dougal and whizzkid, with the exception of anything breeze wants to release himself for whatever reason
My response was this, and obviously hasn't yielded any reply - "Ok I read an answer below, took the cream of the crop from the FW stable and made it a bit less like the exclusive megalabel that it was before... kind of like before Futureworld did that with all of the other labels then? Cool!"
Would like to hear what people think of this

Interesting. A release every fortnight like FW started off with, however it's only the top tier artists (and breeze...). One of my issues with fw that even though they were releasing regular, you would sometimes wait a lot longer for any decent releases due to the many lesser known artists on the label who weren't very good.
I'm sure it will start off well, just hope it doesn't go the same route as FW and Raverbaby before it. Gammer seems to share the frustrations with delayed releases at least.

I liked this bit.

Like it's unusual. It is ridiculous, though.

MWAHAHAHA now we know your name! ;)
So Gammer's running a label again? I think he is still massively talented, but he wasn't the best at running his own label. If he's going to run it like Muffin Music, then I don't think we'll see any type of change or efficiency that was any better than Futureworld. He's pretty much got a booking every weekend and still produces at a steady pace, so I hope his time with that doesn't diminish because he has to make room to run a label yet again.
Breeze I believe fell back on his promise that he was going to take a big step back to focus on the label. It ran nicely for a few months, but it's fallen to nothing now. I think Gammer would have been better off going to HU and have Jon there work his magic to give all of his material a proper release. HU is currently one of the most efficient labels out there to release things, with a couple of exceptions. But even then, they're getting better and better at it.

Or Muffin Music 2.0...
Well, sounds interesting. A good move for Gammer IMO.

He's probably learnt a lot about things from running his own label before and seeing how things should and shouldn't be done in other labels.
Let's hope there is a steady stream of strong releases of recent tunes, and long may it continue!

It's not just the late releases, it's the stuff that never gets released.

Wonder what this means for hixxy? He's the only top tier artist from fw to be left out of this. He hasn't produced anything in a long time as far as I know, so is this confirmation that he's thrown the towel in?

You lot are far too cynical, give it a chance! I have spoken to Gammer about this and I think the releases will be thick and fast.

I wonder how Breeze feels about all this. Does he think Gammer is undermining him somewhat?
I'm not quite clear on this, has Gammer actually poached Styles, Re-Con etc for his label, or will it just be featuring their releases as well?
I hope he doesn't start tacking on loads of bland drumstep remixes. It's nice having a bit of diversity but sometimes it just seemed it was for diversity's sake.

Good news, isn't it? Basically?
From some of his wording, it sounds like he - along with other producers - is pissed off at the release schedule being strangled and wants to do something about it. Commendable. :-)

I basically asked Hixxy the same thing in Glasgow recently whether he was still producing & he said he had to rebuild his studio but it was almost done & he was getting back on it.
I was also slating "the scene" these days saying how embarrassing it is to read what goes down online & stuff, he pretty much agreed, so whether thats been a factor of him taking a step back for a while & using the studio thing as a cover, who knows.

Also, Darren Styles & Re-Con feat. Whizzkid - Jump Up is scheduled for end of March/early April on TWR.

Of course we'll give it a chance but are you really saying you think this reaction is unexpected? Really? Like, really really?
