The thing with Hixxy is he has been involved in the scene so long that he is pioneering to try things new and seeing if he can lead hardcore to another level. That's all and as for the Raver Baby labels having "flat" sounding basslines, thats because they all do. Ye there trancy and uplifting but if you want a decent bassline you need Evolution, CLSM, Nu Energy etc... As for him playing slower tunes, that may be his new style.
Lets face it he cant pagger the dance floor so hes trying to build you up and build you up and tease with you all. Then as you cant take no more hell drop a bomb and youll all love him for it!
You cant say he's going down hill that just isnt fair as hes done so much, hell just be trying new things!

hixxy speaks to me man, it doesn't make any sense, but he speaks to me....hixxy's cool and all, but the raver baby and jelly baby labels are shite, bring back the oldskool, tear a dancefloor up with bangin choons and let timo maas and oakenfold have the trance ok?

You can't blame Hixxy for trying new stuff. I'm not a great fan of the newer stuff but I can appreciate the ideas and the effort he's put into the scene over the years. There are some dj's who are living on what they've done in the past and not trying to go forward. Better to try something new and fail than not try at all.
Nobody can be surprised that he's doing different things - everything he's done since Bonkers 3 has had a 'unique' sound to it.
