I personally like having the break beat Jungle Drum N Bass stuff. I am a fan of DNA and his old stuff. I also am a big fan of the new mix that HAM just did (http://www.nextgenerationrecords.co.uk/play.php?id=HAM002) and have a look, well listen any way. I dont know about the rest of you?

This is also in part to being a huge dieselboy fan. I will be hardcore, but drum n bass at the same time. All depends on my mood. O i am a huge bass head, the more bass the better.

i just want techno aspects back in the music, get rid of the trance synths and bring back the drum looping crunchy goodness...

need a lil bit of the old and the new, take the old and expand upon it with the newer instruments of today...

Cheesy, lovey dovey vocals and less trance-like aspects. Bring it back to like... '97-'99 style stuff, still with a bit of the trancey aspects, but not so many that they take over the tracks.

Funnnnky...

Breakbeats as well
However, what I like so much about hardcore is that you get all sorts of elements depending on the artist. So I don't think that there should be one specific type that is more represented. Blending is nice. It's something you don't see as much in other musical genres imo.

If and when it does occur in other genres, you have maybe 5mins before someone comes up with a new subgenre to lob it under and about a quarter of an hour before the proponents of the new subgenre start getting all snotty about the purity of "their" sound.
