OK I have listened to it, not mixed I add, but have decided I like it, a lot, think it will work well with hardcore but over all prefer good old original Happy Hardcore. I am converted to the cause but I don't think it can supplant my favorite music in to second place

From what I've heard the Spanish DJ's play pretty slow, like 168-172 bpms. But I've also heard a few mixes spun by some Scottish DJ's that play makina at much higher speeds, like 185+ bpm.
I think the speed's are just the DJ's personally choice of what sounds better, kinda like how we play so much faster in the states than DJ's do in the UK (generalization maybe but it's pretty much true)

If ur just starting to get in2 Maquina then one of the Pont Aeri CDs wud probably b best.
Personally..I hate maquina...the kazoo noise is 2 annoying 4 me.
