Just listened to Scott Browns new track Pump your Fist, Scott brown showing once again how it should be done. Almost gone back to the sound of hardcore 2000-2006 period.
https://m.soundcloud.com/evolutionrecords/ev-131-scott-brown-pump-your-fist Thoughts people? Personally I really like it!! Due for release on the 21st of December on Evolution.

It would be a great return to form if a lot of producers followed suite and made tracks like this, the piano riff gets me every time and reminds me of the classics!

very good for a 2015 track. SCOTT BROWN is not tired like the most of the artists.

By the way some of you described it I expected to hear something old and unnecessary but damn what a lovely track! It has a bit of a hardstyle influence that makes it sound up to date!

The first couple of seconds instantly reminded me of Jurassic Park.

How so? There's been a couple I could take or leave yes, but the vast majority of his tracks from the past 2 years has been inspirational for me.
Every so often my faith & love for Hardcore is reinforced & it usually comes from this man. He reminds me of the level of quality that hardcore can reach when someone as creative as he is gets in the studio.

Pretty much. You didn't give a time frame, so yea he's had ups and downs just like any other dj/mc/producer. There was a period in the mid-late 2000s where people were just completely sick and tired of him, some of those people are the same ones currently devouring his ass right now.
Plus there was that HTID ITS 2010 incident that got him banned from ITS for 2011, but thankfully he came back for 2012 so that I could see him! :)
Oh and then there was that time when he told people to stop using his music to remix/remake and to make original work when a lot of his productions use riffs and lyrics of other songs. That did not sit very well with a lot of folks here that enjoy making remixes/remakes.

well i didnt like alot of his 2006-2010 stuff, so I understand what latin is talking about. Alot of artists have a tendency to sound always the same. But for some reason Scott has an even larger tendency to sound the same :P

I genuinely can't think of a time when I've thought "this guys not cutting it anymore, needs to change his game" because to me he's always been at the forefront of what I feel is creative & heartfelt hardcore. Also his range of cheesy vocal stuff to gabber make it hard to label him.
Yeah the knife incident was a strange one. It sounds like he'd over done it on a Buckfast bender! Haha
As for the remix/remakes comment, I dont remember that but I have to agree. Anyone who actually found that offence needs to stop suckling from their mothers booby & grow a pair!

so you mean Scott Brown is free to make remixes and being a hypocrity about other people remixing his work? :P
Anyways, getting back to the track in question. It has a very makina-ish synth :o (I see Smaloum made the same comment on sC)
