Don't think it'd make much difference to be honest.
Children of the night got into the charts and that didn't do any harm.
We've managed long enough without any mainstream success so i think the only advantage to be gained by getting HH tunes into the charts would be a financial one.
The music is mainly pretty commercial anyway so a Hardcore tune in the charts wouldn't affect the scene in the same way as all those 'rave' tunes did 11/12 years ago
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you

Commercialization wouldn't be that bad
more money for the producers of course and more events subsidized by major corperations.
Punk and rap did it and have been going strong for 20 years, if continuously downhill, still strong

I think alot of people would grow 2 like hardcore alot more if it charted & it would stop people thinking that the music is just 4 people wearing white gloves & glow sticks

Hardcore won't chart in my view in it's current form (it would have to be a remix that is considerably slower).....at the moment hardcore is to hard and fast and it's been this way for a while now, for it to hit the uk charts.

^^^ You are thinking about ToyTown... Heart of gold (hardcore version) has a music video and came out as a CD single.

I don't think it would hurt the scene at all...it would give it a little boost if anything...

i used to be totally for it,then totally against it. now i doubt it will happen but well done if it happens,as long as we don't see some manufactured band coming out with a watered down cheesy dance tune at 160 bpm

keep it plus 170bpm to stop this happenin!!! people laugh at hardcore cuz itstoo fast for them, thas the only reason, i slowed down a couple of scott b and breeze and styles choons and played them to someone and they thought they were prety damn good. id say much haredcores only about 20bpm away from full chart takeover, but that wudnt be good. all the fears of commercialisation stem from the way we listen to it everyday, read bout it every day, talk about it everyday, and if we hear someone who isn't into their hardcore talk about a choon being good we get all paranoid its goin commercial.
plus so many people cant imagine dancing this fast, the real question is, how do you dance to anything below 150bpm?!?!?!? SUCKS!!!
