*sigh* i just got BONKERS 10, and its not even BONKEERS!!! its like trance...and scott brown is the hardest set, but its no cheese! i love the cheese, and it seem slike hardcore is really getting dark and gay. What ever happend to HAPPY HARDCORE!!!! i love the older bonkers, and happy 2b hardcore and even the new "trancieish happy hardcore" but the dark crap is just sickening...very trancy and *yakk* it makes me wanna kill something really...KEEP THE HAPPY IN HAPPY HARDCORE!!!!!!!!!!
wow...i needed to get that off my chest ^_^

Just listen to the old stuff then if you don't like what's around now.
You can't please some people - the ones who were saying that the scene had run out of ideas 5 years ago are now slating the new stuff because it's not like it used to be.
GET WITH THE TIMES PEOPLE!!!
I'm 32 years old so I've been around dance music for a long time and as far as the music goes, one thing i can safely say is that if you stand still you die. It's really that simple.
The music needs to keep going forward and most people seem to be happy with hardcore as it is - just look at how poular it's becoming again.
As for the music not being 'happy' anymore - don't even get me started on that one!

Couldn't have said better myself!! If HHC stayed the way it was in the past (Which i agree was f**king banging) it probably would have died out... Then i would have to die out as there is no life without HHC...
HARDCORE FOREVER
if video games affected us as children, then we would all be running around in dark rooms, munching magical pills and dancing to repetitive music!

Sorry, i would reply but i only speak English!
I'll say it once more - if the scene is to survive it needs to move with the times.
It's the current sound that got me back (full time) into hardcore again so whatever my past preferences are I can recognise that this new 'trance'/'dark'? sound is what is right for the present. Things can change quickly and there are already plenty of 'happy' tunes out there so to say theres no happy in the scene today is wrong.
Lets just keep supporting the new scene & see where it takes us.

accept it tadtady the tunes would go back to way they tunes, even though that would be sheer class.. But the tunes being pressed now still have the essential ingredient that classes the tunes HHC... you know what i mean, when you get that tingly feeling shoot down your shoulders and back and a serious smile creeps onto that face.. THAT IS HHC!! that is also still NOW
I do agree that Flip and Fill and some other names that i won't mention could be trying to bring HHC into pop but that will never happen peeps!

Its all still happy hardcore. You vant compare it to real hardcore apart from the stuff scott brwon plays at the end of his sets. Which i dont like.
I love the old stuff too but everything changes and therefore i like the new stuff too. Its alway snice to play an old set though :)

I'm happy to listen to either old or new. The old provides the "I want to dance about & just generally smile like ****" feeling & the new stuff brings the "My god that synth is so ****ing powerful, I want to smile" sort of feeling.
Not sure if anyone else agrees with that. But either type of hardcore does it for me. It's not on though that people are saying that hardcore has gone trance. People clearly don't know trance in that case. The only thing hardcore is using from trance are the huge synths, which are great anyway. Trance is so so very different. The drums, structure etc.
Hardcore is still hardcore, it's just moving with the times. If something stays the same too long it'll grow old. The reason we still love our old hardcore is because it's still fresh (if you understand my point) because it's not being played out as much today.
Tis all good!
