they're bitching about an album that was leaked. Supposedly it wasn't leaked as they seem to claim it's about the downloaded album, so it was already released when it was on the filesharing network.
There's always going to be filesharing, did (t)he(y) think this album wouldn't? And with sharkey, he's just pissing his authentic fans off with that remarks.
Warnman: eh, what? =P So far no one has threathen them to upload the album, it would've found a way to filesharing networks anyways.
I jsut bought(!) the album today, and so far i've listened to 6 songs from Kevin's Mix, so far it's... 1 good track out of 6

@Samination
It's not a special Hardcore phenomena.
I only wouldn't be too fixed about the suspicion, someone bought the album and uploaded it on an illegal fileshare website. It may sound plausibel, but it doesn't have to be right.

Has anyone considered what that email actually meant?
The fact he said,
"Similarly, if you did upload this album to any online community and have the respect to own up to it I may consider halting this action."
After claiming that the recipient would face a heap of shit surely means it was a ploy.
Anyone stupid enough to illegally upload it in the first place is likely to be stupid enough to tell the owners of the cd that they illegally uploaded it.
If this is actually the case then I think they should get a nice pat on the back, it's not a bad idea.

I think this is a load of nuts for various reasons.
First of all most ISPs (apart from mine actually) assign dynamic IPs so by the time they've given an 'in depth investigation' I think the IP would have changed by then (normally changes after a few weeks maximum), somehow I think it's a bit of a coincidence that your old IP would be assigned to someone who is also into hardcore and also shared an album you purchased but on the same account the IP should have changed all the same so that doesn't quite add up.
Secondly, as someone else mentioned I don't think a filesharing forum would do give away said information as most of them simply won't co-operate. (because the files are hosted elsewhere)
Thirdly, unless it's a ******* website or something, most of the files are uploaded via rapidshare, mediafire, megaupload etc. so they'd have to get IP addresses from that really for a more accurate idea of who shared what files.
Also there are websites which index files on megaupload etc. so if you have uploaded it to these sites WITHOUT any intent of filesharing then that's tough tits unfortunately if someone else found it and shared it.
Personally I would press him for more details, get chatting with him on facebook etc. and sort it out. If he's willing to halt it just from owning up then I'm sure he'd appreciate a 1 on 1 chat with you to clear it up, otherwise in his eyes you may just look like you're running away (like a filesharer may do)

so ppl don't have to read the shittyass responses from the ppl of that shittyass website who are probably filesharing the tracks, here is Alex's response (alex bailey I'm assuming) of the whole post:
It's not a threat - we emailed everyone who bought the album raising the issue of file-sharing as someone from our own store purchased it and then shared it. All we want to do is find out who it is, and then ban them from the store, so they don't share any more music! I can't think of another way to do this other than over email - it's a little bit personal for a store granted, but we are a record company too and have to try to protect our future. No-one's deluded enough to think that we will stop piracy completely, but we'd rather not have it originating from Hardbeats Download.
Please don't take it personally Vladel, the email you have copied and pasted is actually the third attempt to contact you, with each attempt increasing in what could be interpreted as an accusing tone, but this is only to get your attention since we've had no reply. Now that you've responded we can rule you out. I really hope it doesn't deter you from shopping with us in the future, we have only acted in this manner as we don't want our customers to lose out by a lack of our music coming out, a result which will be inevitable if file-sharing continues to strip potential profits from an already niche market.
Feel free to get in contact if you want to discuss things further:

I don't doubt the rip-off version, but regarding this as a fact is way too early.

fair do's if it was just a ploy to trap filesharers. However I must say that it would definitely put me off buying there, you buy to get a product, not more worries and hassle. People could cancel holidays and stuff waiting to reply to that kind of thing. Intelligent move, but maybe not a smart one.

meh not really it's just the usual clusterphuck of pessimistic freeloading retards that usually hang out at ush. i used to think that they were more familiar and knowledgeable of current hardcore than a lot of members here, but i discovered long ago that i was wrong. it surprises me that a lot of producers give more attention to that site than on here. at least here moderators & silver make it a point to try and deter us from filesharing, whereas on there whoever works on and/or owns the site doesn't give a shit

so because they see a different side of filesharing, they're complete tits then?
Because they don't know/like much of the newer hardcore, doesn't say they know less than anyone on here.

I thought that might be the case and I also thought a few months ago and that it might be a better place to talk about the music than here. How wrong I was. I've found that pretty much no producers post on there, it has the odd one or two but they post on here too. The majority of the posts that are made are made by the same few members, much in the same way as this site. It's no busier than here and far more clicky than this site. I've notice a growing trend amongst forums these days, they are dying out. Facebook has taken over and is killing forums if you ask me. Producers and DJ's now have an all in one way of reaching their fans and they do not have to sift through all of the shit they get on forums to get their work out there. The majority of people who are on the DJ or producers fanpage are exactly that, fans. So it means less negativity, more interest and it saves posting the same post on 5 different places in order to reach people. Happyhardcore.com has a fan page but it never gets used, I don't see why we can't make it a busy page and get some interest back from the long lost fans of the music.
