Why is everyone worshipping Sharkey? Strange... I wouldn't think freeform is that popular... am I wrong? Sharkey is always producing the same freeform mix on every Bonkers. Though I like this style, it is a bit boring after listening to it for a long time...
I dunno what is happening to Hixxy... He had the best mixes earlier, but with the recent Bonkers, Dougal is taking the crown of hhc from him... Dougal's mix is the best on this Bonkers, though his mix on the 13 was the best mix I've ever heard. :) Hixxy is getting tired? And Dougal has the freshness of hhc now? Seems so...
Scott Brown seems to follow the same way now on his recent mixes... Some old tunes, then a few great fresh vocal hhc tracks, and then some gabba... What does gabba doing on a hhc-compilation? Strange...
Best tracks: Drive me crazy, Mars atx, Getting high

^^^ Exactly what I was wondering Dass.
To the untrained ear, yes, freeform does sound very similar, but have you actually listened to Sharkey's mix (i mean listen, not skip from track to track)???

I would say 'trancey' should be rather called nu-skool hhc, as it is the most probable successor of oldskool hhc. :) Anyway... Bonkers was always THE HHC COMPILATION, wasn't it? Freeform and gabba are just constant visitors here. But it's just my opinion...

hixxys was the best for me this time. scott browns was disappointing and boring, as usual. not really any tunes on his mix that i hadn't heard before.

Bonkers is not a happy hardcore compilation it is a hardcore compilation covering the current sounds of hardcore it just happened to be HH that was the current sound on its launch.
I think I should just add that freeform does not all sound the same and is far more varied than new hardcore. If you dont beleive me listen to a nu energy record then a thin and crispy then an electronic then a future dance and tell me they sound "samey".
Ps sharkey absolutely rules and owns bonkers 14 hands down ;p

I still think to people that aren't into freeform, alot of it does sound similar, but it is definitely a very varied subgenre.
Oh and yes, I agree with the above, Sharkey is awesome.
