despite the glaringly obvious fact that about 50 million people in the US play games often and when one muppet tries to dodge his punishment for his own retarded actions and uses games as a scapegoat it is 'OMG!! everyone that plays games is training to be teh leet killz0r machine!!'

Well that was in reference to them cracking down on the gangs and stuff but at least theyre controlling the angry mob. And thanks for the links, I was reading in some other forum where some guy was complaining about lebs and wogs, guess that guy was an asshat.
I'm surprised you guys know who Jack Thompson is. I thought his evil only influenced us americans but I guess I thought wrong. I'm kinda glad he's the opposition to video games because any reasonable person can see he's an idiot clamoring for attention. If Jack Thompson was sane and had cogent arguments that would suck.

I think the australian government should do what the us government did during world war 2, round up all the imigrants you consider a possible threat and send them to their own camps =P

A good friend of mine from high school was a Colombian immigrant, had fine taste in women and really laid back. Makes me want to go there.

It was written by ex Police Detective Tim Priest, it was originally written in 2004.
Of course, he condemed the rioting down at Cronulla. Who wouldn't? I dont agree with 5000 Aussies bashing 5 lebs (and getting an innocent Bangladeshi man in the process), but its a prime example of people being sick to death of the problem of lebanese gangs.
Tim Priest was a detective that came forward about the crime problems in Cabramatta and was scolded by the government, and a lot of the information that he gave was put to one side. He's not afraid to tell the truth, even against the governement (the hand that used to feed him).

Problems like this will always exist, unfortunately, because people have to have someone to blame for actions that offend them. When they can't find the actual culprit, they look for the closest thing, which is, in this case, a person of the same ethnicity.
It's the same in almost every matter.. let's say I went out in my car right now and someone ran out in front of me, I would instantly be blamed because it makes people feel better to lash out at someone when they're angry, upset or hurt. People act first and think of the consequences later.
In this case the sick, selfish acts of a few are causing many innocent people to be hurt by people that are retaliating in the only way they know how - stereotyping. The people are retaliating against people of the same ethnicity because it's the closest they can do to hurting the actual gang members that started this whole mess.
Some people think in black and white.. "Some black person attacked my friend so all black people must be bad, because otherwise they'd all be good, and this person isn't." - there's no in between for these people.
I, myself, have been guilty of such thoughts before, but once the initial anger subsides and I can think straight, I realise that the acts of a few do not define what the rest of a nation is like.
In the above post 'people' refers to the majority of people, not every single one. So don't bother replying saying "I'm not like that!" or similar.

While a nice thing to say, thats not whats applicable here.
Lebanese Gangs (not the lebanese people, but the gangs) are exactly like chavs. The resemblence is uncanny.
Take that into consideration.
I dont blame migrants, lebanese people or even muslims, but these gangs (who are all lebanese) are to blame.
