now now charco mate you no aswell as me that scooter's always been aimed at the young market. You just wouldve been a young teen at the time they were out so makes sense you got into them, everyone was at the time cos we were young and it was happy and bouncy.
But if i listen back it's always been a blatant joke, makes me laugh aswell that by taking the piss out of happy hardcore they've probably sold more than any other single happy act ever.

I know exactly what you mean baldo.
I'm going to dig my own hole here but I feel that there are albums directed to a mainly new market; the younger ravers and albums directed to everyone.
(An example I would use would be : Extreme Hardcore - Teens , Hardcore Heaven3 - Everyone. But thats just my opinion).
I think the new 'reformed' scooter of recent years could well be played along-side the recent extreme hardcore without sounding out-of-place.
I'm going to stop now 'cause this is probably sounding like total sh*t.

not at all mate i do get what your saying mostly, accept scooter were never targeted at a serious adult audience .
Like chris said it's tunes you here at ice rink when your about 14 and buzz off them cos you think its hardcore. There a good laugh and you probs like the memories off it, hell i was still mixing old remember style makina til last year. Some of thats just as bad near enough, proper eurocheese.

the only tune i ever liked was friends...back in the day
'Monstertune' and 'Crank it up' are quality scooter tunes too. Crank it up is a fierce tune!! Still have their cd from years ago....then they went tits up.
Posse was my favourite, love the piano. Unbeatable!

I think my favourite on CLXH2 so far is Breeze - Hardcore DJ
"Friday night and it's 8.45, loading the car, then I pull from the drive, headlights, bright lights filling the road, the navigation is set and I'm ready to roll, cruising speed is set at 85, flipping the CDs, the beats and wow.. checking out the brand new tunes to play, cause I'm a Hardcore DJ!"

My favourite tune is Save Me (obviously) but after that, a close second for me is the Styles & Breeze Remix of Walk Away.

Most of Scooters early productions easily rival most of the tunes released today. They just have a raw, energetic feel to them....quality rave tunes!
It's a shame they changed so much.
In my honest opinion, both the recent scooter releases (that so many seem to hate) and CD's like Extreme hardcore seem to be aimed at the same people....young teens which puts me off buying recent albums such as extreme hardcore.
I would be happy to see Scooter producing even at such speed like Clubland Xtreme Hardcore! But they are producing slow commercial shit at the moment with a maximum of about 150 bpm... That's a piece of cake... They should recognize that hardcore is their past and should be their future, they shouldn't became popstars! Maybe they listen to Breeze's mix of Nessaja and something starts in their mind... I would be happy to see Scooter spreading uk hardcore across the continental Europe! :)

anyway the reason for hardcores revival now (and baldos guuna love this from me) is 2001 scooter - nessaja and public domain - operation blade! both top 5 hits from a different form of dance music of that time! since then i've been happy coz hardcores back! but they got a lot of young teenagers into something different than most dance trax in the charts at that time! (anyone doesn't agree with that theory then check out hardcore album releases from that date)

most of the rest though is shit, sounds like there was no effort put into making these tunes....

Nah sorry dont' agree with that. The 2001 revival was bought on by the new trance influenced sounds being pushed by RBC, Evo, EP etc.
