the biggest part of solving the problem....if you have one is admitting that you have one. if that is the case then fairplay...... I know what its like to admit a problem. I had one, not with alcohol but something else and it got to the point where the highs were worse than the lows and I can tell you it aint pretty. I havent touched a thing for about 5 years but can take it or leave it now, I plan to have a good time at the next event I am going to in may at brunel rooms but I def plan to be careful, I mean I am not going to drink as there is no way I would stay awake till 6 in the morning, I would be asleep on the dancefloor lol. I do drink and probably more than I should but I know I don't have a problem as I had an operation 2 weeks ago and havent touched a drop since. good luck with the meetings and I hope you are going for yourself not cos someone else made you!

Im sure u were saying that you were hungover yesterday??

In America you actually get arrested for drinking under age! WOW! You just get your booze poured down the drain here or "confiscated for evidence".

I would be well locked up by now then, along with 80% of teenagers!

Thats actually perfectly legal in the UK. Unless the law has changed, I believe it is also legal to have a glass of wine in a restaurant if your with a "responsible adult".

Theres also a few other loopholes that make underage drinking legal in some circumstances.

Actually, as I think underloop was trying to say, if you are at home with your parents you could be 13 and drink as much as you want and get pissed as a fart...

only alchol problem theres been round here is when the molson brewery caught on fireactualy calmed down in my drinking i used to me crazy(point said i live in vancouver and after a bout of drinking with my buddy(more like 2weeks of drinking) andonly really stopped cause i ended up in a holding cell in montana ) never really went to any meetings or anything just looked at what i got(mainly my gf) and didn't want to lose so i just stopped...still go and get wrecked with my buds at the pub but thats few and far between

down here the cops kinda turn a blind eye to underage drinking in parks/house parties... but its so smegging hard to get into anyplace that sells alochol, or to buy from bottle o's if you're underage... suckers...

I do enjoy the odd drink with mates at the pub, or when i go dancing with some of my female mates... but raving, has to be sober... high on caffeine and music!!

good on you smoogie for admitting to ur prob and being proactive about it instead of letting it consume you... i've known people who have ruined their life through alcohol

Almost 22 now and have never, once, tasted an alcoholic drink. (Strange saying that when I've passed a celler management course, am a bar manager in a nightclub...and am soon to go on a mixology course (Making cocktails!))
Kinda started it to "test" myself when everyone was in the peer-pressure atage, then found that the whole 'getting drunk' thing didn't appeal to me at all. Don't think I'll ever touch the stuff.

Best of luck smoogie. You have a lot of support behind you.

Haven't touched drugs or smoked either....healthy me! ha

I think my best friend has a drinking problem, she drinks untill she cant see. It worries me it got to a point when she was really sick and started passing out and what not. I rarely drink myself just dont see the fun in being drunk and sick. I'd rather be sober and make sure all my friends get home safely.

same over here mate i dont think it's for people like evel imo, it's a last resort for people who are addicted to it.

Not kids who are a bit depressed and occassionally drink too much.

Dont mean to sound harsh evel but you need to grow up and snap out of it, everyones gets shit in life you just deal with it.

Escaping reality or whatevers just an excuse you seem to have a problem wanting attention all the time and the worlds not like that.
