I often wonder that, Brisk is shit hot and does use variety. however i pick Kev Energy as his cutting/scratching is just spot on and he can fit a **** load of tracks on 1 CD, and uses a diverse load of artists and is always giving someone new a chance to shine..

Out of the selection I was tossing up between Brisk and Kev Energy. In the end I chose Brisk as I prefer his style - often a bit harder. 'Twas a tough choice though.

I'll tolerate idiocy in most categorys but the following two will piss me off beyond measure:
1 - If Squad-E wins "Best breakthrough DJ". I can't fathom how anyone is coming to this conclusion, it's clearly part of some mass brainwashing. This is in no way in detriment to his potential talents as a hardcore DJ or producer, but simply observing: how many bookings has he had? Where has he played? How many great sets and rave reviews has he come away with? If all it takes is a single b2b main room HTID booking then that's just further F**ing evidence that all the scene needs is "big raves" to sort it the f*** out and sort some minimally varied line-ups out.
2 - If Sharkey doesn't win "outstanding contribution" this year I'm going to have to do something drastic. Yes, I realise the average raver has no idea BUT that's as much the fault of the informed as any. I absolutely DEMAND that everyone with even a slight insight educates the blind ASAP. He's done so much for the past, present and FUTURE of this scene and he does it out of free will with no expectations.
As for best producer, Bonkers 16 may sway things towards Cube::Hard a bit but it's unrealistic to expect he has a look in. Far, far, far too interesting a choice. Heh.
( Let's face it, in the modern world Mozart would end up working in Tescos whilst a no-talent-gimp can go on Big Brother and end up w/ an international music career based soley upon that. Hooray :D )

Outstanding Contribution 2006: *Dont care* but voted Sharkey, because people are making a fuzz about it. Personally i dont see why people are making a big number about it. The man is on the Freeform side of the Hardcore wagon, and it aint as popular as the fast Eurotrance side of the wagon. And this is ultimately a popularity contest. If he has done as much as people say he has, he deserves your respect, not some shallow trophy that was made only as a PR stunt for a commercial company.
