the original true version of shooting star,i heard it when i was about 16 and just considered it as a dance song at the time i was into trance and ibiza based tunes then heard shooting star,the lyrics and just general sound and vibe of the song made me feel happy,realised i liked this cheesy sounding "happy" song i got into happy hardcore,still love the tune now still makes me smile

for me it would be insomniak. - djpc. the date.. may 1992 i think.. going to a local athletics meet with the school and this girl put a tape on.. i just couldnt believe what i was hearing.. i thought what the hells that.. to me it sounded like someone playing with a zip...(ever since ive been love with the hoover sound) also on that tape was raf - we've got to live together..(early picotto i later found out) which just made me want to find some more of these new style tunes..b4 that i was listening to poison guns n roses and various pop acts... ive never looked back.. from 92 - 96 all i ever listened to was hardcore... the constant shouting at from my mum cos it was all thump thump thump and to turn it down was all part of the process lol

the dodgy 'love of my life' by 'dr who' in hixxys mix on bonkers vol 1.
It being short and was strangely edited i seem to remember, but its by far the best version there's been. why it was never released as a single..i got no idea..

Turned on the harcore stream to see what the hell it was all about when i first noticed it on the DI page. then bang1 dougal and gammer - rock this place comes through the speakers, and i'm like "Shit yeah!". i listened in from then on, and eventually heard Freeform anthems, that turned me from liking it, to being addicted ^__^.
Finally got my hands on Vertigo - absolutely love that track.
