OK, To user Mortis

I take it you dont have the clubland 6 CD. There are many hardcore DJ/Pro like Style & Dougal, Hixxy, Breeze & Styles and more. Just click on the link bellow. To me, this has got a Raver Baby style to it and there are many chart rooms saying how great it is. This can only be good if those people know that this is a Raver Baby style and if you like it you should by the Bonkers albums.

Well no i don't have Clubland 6, or any of the other Clublands for that matter.

So on this album you have;

Flip & Fill feat. Junior - Pacific Sun (orig out on UK Dance)
United In Dance. feat Jenna - Shinnig Down (orig out on UK Dance)
Flip & Fill feat. Karen Parry - Discoland (orig out on Samurai Records)
Quango & Zunie feat. Nikki Belle - Music Is My Life (so many diff versions but not one on RB).
Ashley Jade - Let Me Be Your Fantasy (see above)
Ultrabeat - Frankie's Lead (orig out on UK Dance)

So this is the RB style is it? takin' great hh tunes and ruining em by comerciallizing them?

I think you'll find that not one of those "tune's" ^^ are on RB, the only tracks they have on Clubland 6 are Heartbeatz & You're My Angel, & Heartbeatz is pretty shit imo.

The raverbaby style etc is not hardcore as others have pointed out it,s happy hard, vocal hard or popcore but not hardcore.

I love these threads because most people think they know what they are talking about but they dont.

In actual fact Raver Baby is one of the most successful hardcore labels in the world with one of the highest anthem to release ratio.

While I dont like Raver Baby (or release schedule) , I appriecate what it has done for the scene. It has released many a track that rocks peoples socks off and brings new people to the scene. Can you complain with that?

Who cares if its cheese, don't be selfish and think of the coverage and think of the scene.

Nuff said.

RaverBaby and illegal downloads made hardcore alive

I have to disagree there.

Before illegal downloads big record labels could take more risks and release records that didnt sell that well, cause they could get the income from the sales of bigger artists (Big labels get profit from about every 10th record). Before illegal downloads, small record labels didnt have to stop releasing records eventhough there are more people listening their music. Before illegal downloads record sales were much higher, eventhough people didnt even listen music in the same scale as now.

Its funny that most of the people saying how illegal download helps bringing the music to people... dont buy music or buy very little. It's a little core of music lovers that pretty much keep small labels alive. Not the masses of downloaders that talk how they wouldnt have found out about the music without downloading. I know you buy records and your one of the little core, but dont say those teens that never buy music somehow helped Hardcore to stay alive. Cause thats like giving a big "**** you" to the people that actually buy records and support the artist & labels. You're looking yourself and judging by that, but you cant see the big picture. Theres a whole generation there that have never bought a CD, and its getting bigger and bigger every year.

Just my 2 cents :)

i have to disagree with you. pre-kazaa I only had trance and chill. once i got some horribly misnamed happy hardcore via kazaa I began my search for hardcore and ive spent quite a bit of money on hardcore releases today.

as for Raver Baby, I love the stuff it produces. I dont know much about its impact on hardcore but I do like its presence.

so much energy, so little time
