I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this post but its something I feel needs to be said.
Is anyone else here disgusted by Nukleuz & other rubbish UK Hard House labels trying to jump on the bandwagon
now that Hardcore is finally gaining respect amongst the Dance Community.
UK Hard House in the part of the world I live in has always been the polar opposite of Hardcore with not only the wrong attitude but also
in regards to go nowhere - generally boring music.
Now that's not to say that I don't like the sounds of Hixxy etc.
But I'm really shocked that people like him have signed up to remix/release tracks for them - Esp. considering his Bonkers intro,
This seems like a repeat of 1996 & the death of the scene.
(The only good point back then was afterwards scum like like this disapeared from Hardcore since they couldn't make money)
If you listen to alot of tracks like i do then you must have noticed formulas creeping in again.
Myself personally i won't buy or play out any Tracks affilated with Nukleuz, & as 1 of only 2 hardcore promoters in NZ I won't have their Tracks played at any of my events, the same goes for booking international DJs.
I encourage anyone else who feels the same way to boycott.
I'm not going to get into the whole issue of Flip & Phil & the commercial rip offs (Apparently Luna-C's 6 Days is next & he can't stop it due to the ownership of the sample.)
What are your thoughts?

hmmmm, i dunno its nothing new to be fair though is it. I know what your saying but i dont think theres anything we can do to stop people jumping on the bandwagon. Its always gonna happen like this, if theres an extra buck to be made then this will continue.
When the door bell goes, why do dogs always think its for them??

Business is business a record company of that size signs tracks that make money, thats just the way it is and IMO if in turn it gets money to the artist thats got to be a good thing surely? Anyway if the tracks are good I will buy them if not I won't thats how I look at it.

I'm sure they'll drop hardcore if it becomes unpopular again, and pick up hardhouse when its on the up again, such is the way of record labels really.

its slightly cheeky yes, but i dont think it bothers me too much, the more the merrier, perhaps if they took a little bit more of a risk and got some fresh talent on they're Hardcore label then i would feel a little better about it.
like i said though, not too bothered

Do what ya like. Who gives a shit if people are phonies or are just part of it because its cool. You know why your here and why your a part of it. So shut your pie whole and stop bitching about people wanting to be a part of the hardcore scene.
All you have to do is listen to the DJ, and do everything on the record that he plays...

i totally agree i hate the way they stepped into hardcore. not only are most of the songs kinda bad but they are were pressed super slow so that their usual customers could still get them so that they wouldnt lose sales.
ive been boycotting nukleus for a while, i gave them the change and didnt think much about it until i got the infected with a poison remix and relized it was pressed at like 165 or something stupid. and i couldnt play it in sets i wanted 2.
as far as hixxy i never liked him or really care about him

Stupid and ignorant.
Rip the vinyl. Timestretch on your computer. Burn to CD.

not at all. why should i have to do all that? if they are releaseing hardcore then it needs to be played like hardcore. i was tricked and ended up with nuNRG discuised as hardcore. never gonna happen again.
i bought vinyl to play vinyl not to get it and then rip it to cd!! thats so dumb might as well have just downloaded it in the first place.

try disguised =P
you can listen to a sample of most, if not all, records before you buy them online. you make it sound like they sold you a different track all together. and again, hardcore isn't about a specific speed.
