Look for some hardcore music in some upcoming video games - Yes I can confirm this but I am under an NDA not to tell anyone what it is about at the moment... Rest assured you will all know about it once it's cleared :)

Hardcore has been in the awesome arcade game Beatmania IIDX for awhile now. In the recent 11 RED version, there was a song by Lia. And in the 12th version coming out soon, is a makina song by the producer of that same Lia song. It should be interesting. Then again, this is in japan.

Ok i think comet is the only one remotely getting what im saying. Im not a dumbass.(that is probably the rudest thing anyone on here has said) You have called me a name that was not called for b/c i did not say anything out of line for you to call me a name it would be diff if i was saying crap totally stupid. Getting a track put on a video game? c'mon it not an honor at all in "my eyes". America exploits things that simply should not be exploited. Yadaam you have only said one honest and truest thing that people only see techno which is true. So why would you want "hardcore" played ona video game that is sold to america's public and which they could careless if it was hardcore all they hear is "techno". Exploiting is good in definition of Promoting something and of course promoting it for a good reason. I have been to a rave and i have danced to it i have heardstepped i have liquid that is not a waste of music that is what ur supposed to do. For hardcore artist signing a contract for a video game well all i have to say its a FLIPPING VIDEO GAME! WHY? there is no artistic value of any sort. All it is gonna do is have music on a flipping game ur playing? What? NOT IMPORTANT! Hardcore is not relevant to games. LMAO c'mon there just games. So why are you people making a hot fuss about it? The random remarks are a childish attempt to diffuse this. I see how some of you people are disagreeing with comet but all his remarks are valid and true. If you can't see the differences in AWARENESS and EXPLOITING something than your terrible mistaken. BTW yadaam or however u spell it
"OH and by the way, i only found happyhardcore.com through digitalyimported.com so as you see "EXPLOITING" is the best way" THAT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE! You have used exploiting out of context in this sentence.
i know one you guys are gonna say something that disagrees with me and make another hot fuss and get all weird. But the fact of the matter is HARDCORE and VIDEO GAMES? JUST MUTE YOUR F*CKING GAME and turn on the STEREO. THERE IS YOUR HARDCORE MUSIC ON YOUR VIDEO GAMES. PROBLEM FIXED! ANY QUESTIONS?

Ok, I'm going to *try* and decypher what your saying.
What you're telling me, that having a track that you have made, getting picked up by a large company and being distributed around the world. With thousands and thousands of copies. And you getting a cut from the sales of the game - Thats not an honour in your eyes.
What. the. crap.
Dude, that's quite possiblely the greatest thing to happen to a hardcore artist.
Not only that, but what your saying is that is that the artist is being exploited.
That is incorrect.
Do you know what goes on to get a track in a video game? Its a mammoth effort. The rewards? Well worth it.
Who cares if the people of the game don't like the music? They paid for the game, and then the artists get paid. Who cares if they call it techno?
I fail to see the problem.
What you fail to realise is that the music in a game sets the tone, adds to the mood of the game. Music is extremely important in games.
Don't believe me? Talk to game music designers Tell them that what they do is nothing.
I'd like to know how hardcore is/was/will be getting exploited....

Some of my favorite songs come from video games. It's kind of sad in my opinion that original game music doesn't exist much anymore because people just sign over licensed stuff (i.e. GTA).
One of my all tme favorite video game music producers have to be Dave Moss. He did the music for both Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2. Most of the songs in both of those games really touch me in a certain way.
I know if I got a tune signed for a video game I'd be excited. They are my two favorite things; video games and music. Although I'm pretty sure that will never happen.

Yes, GTA used liscened stuff, but what about other games like UT2004? Or Quake 1, 2 or 3? Or even Quake 4 (ooohs and ahhhs)?
I do feel that the game music designers are overlooked, but not exploited.
You can find out who they are with a bit of searching.
Thats how I found out about Sonic Mayhem/Toksin. They did the music for Quake 2 and 3.

how'd a simple topic about possibly streaming hh.com on a game server turn into a 6 page ramble of whether commericialism is bad, how suppressive the US government is and about the G8 summit. hell i got all that from reading 2 posts, after that i was choking on so much ********. what is the point arguing your elitist/anti-elitist views, don't you get it, you have no say on how the hardcore scene as a whole goes only your own little corner of it. all it takes a is a few outside people deciding they want to pump money into the scene to disrupt everyone. learn to adapt to change or leave, that is the only option you have
AIDS has a bad, unjustified reputation, contract it and see for yourself!!
