we appear to have a really bad name and to be fair i think a few of these sweeping generalisations are quite unjust...
aright perhaps there may be a few bad chavs ( maybe quite a lot actually ) but there are in any group. I do think that some of the comments iv heard are unfair and hurtful and i know that i dont liked being judged by what i wear because i know that i am not "non educated" or a slut!!
lol sorry for this rant but on like all other forums i go on there is always a chav hating post and it drives me mad!!

chavs by definition are scum..... sorry, I really don't see the point of your comments? If you are educated, treat people with respect etc then your not a chav.

i really do think that comments like all chavs are scum and like death to them are pathetic, you cannot make sweeping generalisations like that, it is not as if you know every chavvy person going.
i don't dress like a boy and i really really don't have a chav mentality for fighting and stuff. but a lot of my mates do and i don't have a problem with them at all. personally i think that going out with a crew of chavs is a laugh with lots of drink nd drugs involved .. and they hav a good taste in music!!

Yes they do :P trust me when i was younger and naive i was a "Townie" i was sucha geezer bird hahaha and all my girl friends where too....Talking in dirty slang, "OH MY DAYS I AINT SEEN YOU IN TIME" Lets just say i grew up and realised i what i had become... so now i am me, i dont fit into a "group" of people, i dont wear a uniform, nor speak in such a disgusting way. I have learnt to respect myself and others and i am happier for it... christ chavs scare me... i think they will hit me if i just so look at them.... My Grandma prefers goths to chavs.... =P

If you dont want to be judged by "sweeping statements", why be a sheep and follow the trends?!
Your right though, not all chavs are bad people... its just a shame that the majority are, and thats the name you get for it.... you dress and talk like "them" and you get labelled for their behaviour

i wouldn't call me self a sheep though .. i hang around with a particular group of people and we happen to like a certain style of clothing .. just like goths and other such groups.

I always thought that Chavs did not realise that they were chavs and that it was a word others used against them. How can you be proud to be a chav.........??
