Anyway, i need an english "front page", you know the one that has all the info about the drawing. If anyone has that, preferrably in .dwg file, could you post it to me? :)

Yea thats the one. Though i'm not sure if i need it anymore. I have to send some bluprints (yay, learned a new word... though i should have known that) to china, thought it would be cool to actually have the Drawing Head (yay, learned another word) in english rather then in finnish. But i'm not sure if i need it anymore, as originally i thought i had to send the bluprints in the traditional paper format. But heard later that they will need the cad files instead. So theres no need for the drawing head anymore, as they will slap their own innit anyway.

..and as you saw, the english needed is something i'm not that good at. Hehe, at school my teacher didnt know even what my profession is in english :p

I do CAD drawings as part of my job and I just have a like a table along the bottom of the drawing to show all the information. Most CAD programs come with drawing templates that you can alter.

We have ARK (finnish program) extension running on top of it, so we use that. The templates that are as default are all weird o_O

this is what we at my school call a drawing head

but maybee not that you are looking for?

what kind of project is it for and is it a big paper like A1?
becours we do projects for McDonalds and they use big drawings like A1 and they fold the paper so the get a "frontsite" so they dont use drawing head

Another (more common) name for "drawing heads" is "title block". I used to have a fantastic drawing template that I used to use, but I can't find them... I havn't done any drawings in ages! If I find any I'll send them over. The standard AutoCAD templates are pretty good though

Well i dont really need it anymore. But the standard AutoCAD templates dont work here at all. Thats the type we use, i did that template at school and its done by the standards we use (its on the bottom of an A4 paper (front page), 7mm from left and bottom :p) ->

My initial idea was that, i thought you must use similar ones, or at least one that has same info. So wanted to know how you wrote all the text, what abbreviations you use etc.

Btw -JFK- what drawing is that? electricity/lighting? It looks all weird o_O Also whats a recreation room? and whats a Den?

I use Solidworks at work, best CAD software you can get in my opinion, the 2006 version has some really cool new features. Only draw back is it's damn expensive, it's about £1000 per year for full subscription support, but that includes free upgrades and service packs.

In my profession the only software to use is AutoCad. It has to be the same as everyone else has, otherwise all the drawings are useless and its pretty much the best in 2D drawing.
