I live in DC where the dumb old fool Bush lives! (God!) Anyway I think that the Rave act has a lot to do with Hardcore and Electronic muisc in general downfall but I also think that the growing popularity of Hip Hop has something to do with it also. There isn't a soul here in DC thats into Hardcore but me I think. (Lol). I think that the people here who love the music needs to make it more known. When I drive though the downtown streets at night while in my car I blast the best Hardcore or Trance song that I Know with the windows down just like the Hip Hoppers do, to let everyone know that Electronic music is here to stay. It's the music of this new era of life! The Future!

yeah i agree, hip hop is the major genre people are listening to.
thats all thats re-played on the radio. i hate the radio. except the day i heard "Everytime we touch" by Cascada. that was a good day, thats the closest the radios will ever get to happy hardcore.

Yeah eveytime time that song comes on I make sure I listen to it or vote for it just to support the music. I hate the radio also that's why I got an XM, they play a lot of electronic music but I wish they played more Hardcore.

the radio over here sucks, "safe" music is what i call it.
same crap over and over and over, we have one station here in peoria which plays dance music, and its at 11pm on a friday for an hour - and its complete and utter trash all of it, and i mean all of it, is shitty dance remix's of the same songs they play during the day....cheese to the max

no wonder dance music gets such a bad rep

candy kids are to blame too, nobody is going to take anything you listen to or say seriously if you look like a 3 year old.

fair enough squishy was only jokes as you no, i do agree with triquatra though it will stop most people taking you's seriously. Not saying you's care what other people think, but myself at 21 would rather stab myself than go to raves where everyone looks like they got on a plane that crashed into a rainbow and listens to ultracheese all night.

But thats just me if you's like it and believe in plur and whatever fair enough, it's just not the world i live in at all. Still would be boring if we were all the same and if you's enjoy it thats the main thing.

Not really meaning to attack it mate, justagreeing with triquatra.

For all candykids get brought down so does anyone into raves. My dads a tolerant man for example, can get a laugh with him and all that but was glad to move out of his for one reason.

Everytime i'd play gabber/speedcore on decks would get shit like "it's just noise", "thats not music" or "you'd have to be on drugs to like that shit".

Thats from my own family then everyone else like mates not from raving, total happy ravers, the internet, people from college etc all give you stick for it.

can piss you off but you aint gonna change for it, why i was saying if it's what they like it's the main thing.

Are there any decent hardcore producers in the states? I can't think of any at all. Seems weird considering the population size, especially compared to somewhere like AUstralia which has stacks of producers these days.

Any hope of any form of EDM with a 4beat becoming popular (aside from in clubs) in the US began dying in 1980, and died with new wave. That is all.
