Yeah I'd agree with that, It's basically a much harder version of Hard Trance. Same sort of difference as Gabber & UK hardcore.

We have a reasonable Techno following in the UK. There's a strong following for the mainstream stuff and for the more underground London and Acid techno.

As for happy Gabber... Dunno I always thought people were referring to the cheese on Jolly Roger and all that sort of stuff?

*edit*

Sorry I'm being pretty rude for no reason really. What is that sort of stuff then? I wouldn't say it sounds like happy hardcore, bouncy techno or gabber...

Not trying to say it is Happy Gabber BTW I really don't know.

OK fair enough... Stuff that I have on it just doesn't really sound like bouncy techno. Maybe the few records I have on that label are the ones that don't fit into their general category or did they have quite a different style to everyone else? Being a southerner I heard allot more Happy hardcore than B.T. and probably just don't know much about it.

Yeah Phobz is a quality label, got some great stuff on it.

nah, i mean actual techno. it's smaller than our jump-scene but it's still pretty kicking. I mean, look at how much ppl the techno trucks at the cityparade draw, or the festival "I love techno" for that matter (k, some acts aren't techno but the majority is).
also there are still a shitload of underground techno and minimal techno parties here if you know where to look .

basicly yes, but it has created a tie to hardcore cuz of all the stuff they stole from oldskool gabber tracks (which made em sounds like wannabe gabber)

Dain-Ja- Charlie Lownoise & Mental Theo - Hardcore Feelings are happy gabber tracks

Okay I've heard Mental Theo... That is Happy Gabber! It's a Cali thing, right? I heard of it at first from http://www.hardcoreforthepeople.com I'm hacked on that website so I came over here because HHC.com is reliable! I was just curious if it's really hard to get a hold of the records!
