The term happy gabber is somewhat an oxymoron - it's like saying "deafening silence" and "I'm going left right". As said on here, the idea behind gabber is something that is dark and aggressive, with tracks like "Six Million Ways To Die" and "F***n' Hostile" being good examples.
Dutch labels like early Dwarf and Forze from 1995 picked up on the Scottish bouncy sound as it was pretty big (as did the English happy hardcore). To your casual listener however it may sound like "real / true gabber" due to it being widespread on the 1995/97 Thunderdome compilations.

In some places yes this was true, but gabber at least in Scotland was called gabber (or hardcore), where such music was only really played in the UK. Techno refered to the early Belgium, Italian, German rave-based music like Frank De Wulf, Praga Khan, Misteria and whatever else - the techno riffs and hook lines.
Gabber was called such things as gabber house and hardcore house in Netherlands. So what is "Techno" and what is "House" (and what is "Hardcore", "Oldskool" and "Early Rave" etc) really is a matter of opinion as it changes on a country basis as they weren't all playing and making the same music.

I always thought Gabba was the hardest & fastest techno. The happier (Cheesy) stuff was Bouncy Techno.

happy gabber is not a genre on itsself no more
its just happy hardcore
gabber is indeed the hardest/fastest music on this planet
though we do not call it gabber a lot these days, moastly wa say just hardcore and a gabber being a true dedicated hardcore fan.
the only thing i could imagine would be just hardcore mixed up with happy hardcore voices, and i've heared quite sum of those in the old days, you dont hear those annymore verry often as all styles are split up (mainstream hardcore, terror, darkcore...)
whell happy is comming back in holland, though it almoast killed the entire hardcore scyne, so maybe some some songs like thad will come back

i dont know what extratone is
dont know how its over there
but speedcore is gabber
gabber = hardcore
hardcore is devided in certain sub genres, including speedcore and terror but also happy.
and the happy hardcore i hear on your radio is slightly different from what we call happy hardcore
