well i agree with influx 100%
what gives some random wanker the right to call someone a junkie based on the music they like?
i think it was right to stand up for what u believed in and that the **** deserved to be brick-****ed, not just hit in the face n if someone called me a junkie i'd do the same thing.
so what if it solves nothing n it makes someone else think badly of u? its about having the repect for urself n your friends to not let someone slander u to ur face in public.

if someone says or does something disrespectful to me or someone important to, i think i have the right to let them no about it, and the way they find out about it is proportional to what they say/do.
i dont no about u levzi, but i find being called a junkie EXTREMELY offensive n insulting. jkunkies are the lowest of the low, scumbag p.o.s, cancer on society, and being likend to one isnt something appreciate.
do u often let people abuse n degrade u because u dont feel that reacting is the right thing to do?

If someone wants to call me a junkie then so be it, im not in the slightest bothered, now if someone was doing all this "name calling" on purpose as they wanted me to react, id be questioning , why are they wanting me to snap and lay them out ?
Some people would say stuff, get a smack then go running to the old bill. Where does that leave you ? Arrested for assualt, court case, fines, record.
Just cos they called you a junkie.
Ive played contact sport a lot in my younger days and believe me, the stuff ive heard, the banter/gamesmanship, they want you to react so you get sent off, its the same principal here. Just dont react.
If you dont want to , or cant take a punch then walk away, its your only option, doesnt mean they won, means you had the sense to get out of there.
Theres no shame in walking away from idiots.

I guess it comes down to what you're really passionate about and what you're willing to do to stand up for that passion.
If some guy started slagging off your girlfriend and you just walked away id call you a pussy and tell you that you need to grow some nuts coz sometimes people need to know theyve crossed a line, and walking away isnt showing them that is it?
Its not specifically about what he said or how he said it, its having ****ing common courtesy towards people and not judging them as something thats clearly offensive when they obviously dont know shit about you.
He wasnt picking a fight, and he wasnt trying to get a reaction out of me so walking away wasnt the best option in my opinion. It takes a lot for me to hit someone. If someone is trying to get a reaction out of me then fine, ill let them talk and ill walk away coz i KNOW thats not what they want. But that wasnt the situation.
Imo if someone is slagging something SERIOUSLY important to you, something that justifies you as a part of who you are, and you dont stand up for yourself, whether it be verbally, or physically then i think your a coward. Correct me if im wrong, but isnt that almost exactly what cowardice is? Running away from adversity?
If someone insults something thats that big of a part of your life and you dont do SOMETHING about it, then yeah ok i think your a coward. You dont have to hit the guy, but at least standing up for yourself verbally is SOMETHING. Like i said i doubt i hurt him but it wasnt about HURTING him, it was about showing him that he crossed a line. Maybe he didnt know how offensive it was? Well now he does.
Thats all im gonna say on the matter, you dont have to agree with me, but the people that are saying blah blah "i just walk away" what if they were insulting your girlfriend to your face, or your family... would you walk away? Get real.
By the way, even if it DID mean i got hit back, or i got smashed by 10 of his mates, who gives a ****? Id end up leaving feeling better about myself knowing i didnt bitch out and i stayed true to myself and stood up for what i believe in. Its called pride.

well, if someone was insulting my girlfriend id go over and show some of nova'z businezz ;) That is true though, people DO need to know when theyve crossed the line, and they have absolutely NO right to.. But i think calling someone a Junkie which wasnt 100 percent refered to personally isnt enough for you to smack someone, maybe its a personal thing though.. At least you were sticking up for yourself and hardcore.

thats rather harsh. i take it you've never known a junkie personally.
I think that Jester more or less had it spot on, and if a junkie heard you say that you would probably get quite a bit more than a punch in the face - as you said: if someone says or does something disrespectful to me snip the way they find out about it is proportional to what they say/do. As far as disrespect goes i think you pretty much nailed every stereotype in the book.
I was at a party one night and a friend of mine was maggot as **** and wanted to try ice. Three of us had to convince him not to coz we knew his personality and we knew that he would be hooked in one go, coz he wouldnt try and fight the cravings. He's hardly the lowest of the low, a scumbag pos, or the cancer of society. hes a good guy with a good job who doesnt want to resist addictions.

Didn't your mother ever tell you who cares what other people think :)
The guy is ill-informed, you don't need to get angry with him, everyone's experience is different, I'm sure if you played tennis and got hit in the head a few times by the ball you might call tennis dangerous, just tell him otherwise.

....imo, is it what you associate yourself with that defines you, or is it what you're truly like inside.
If electricity suddenly stopped working there'd be no Hardcore but there would still be you.
If drugs suddenly vanished, there would still be you.
If it's You that someone insults....
....smash their face in.
