are you ****ing retarded? have you ever touched a record in your life? seriously, go put on a 45 and a 33, manipulate the platter while the record is playing, and tell me if you hear a difference.
hint: you will

well said if you have decent decks & you can mix, 33 or 45 doesnt matter.

forgive me master, for i have erred
god forbid i have to touch the vinyl or the platter to slow the track down or speed it up a bit

glad you're here to tell me that, i really had no idea! doesn't change the fact that i find 33's harder (notice the word harder, this word is not a synonym for impossible!) to mix.

i find it harder to mix 33's. I can do it, but it's harder.
the same way i find it harder to run a mile than to walk a mile. i can still do both, but that doesn't change the fact that running is harder.

fair enough then but you shouldnt find it harder with 33's as i said above mixing is to do with bpm not rpm.

what? not really.. i can mix different bpms fine, i just use the platter a lot and the way in which touching the platter alters the record is very different between a 33 and a 45...

umm, yeah it will since the record is spinning like 35% slower
...but my brain is trained to deal with that, it comes wtih practice
I also ride the pitch if the record is too sensitive so it's not a big deal to me - some mixing styles are more versatile...that doesn't mean the guy is wrong though (he definitely isn't)
