i got a few bits of kandi from random people i met at my first rave (prophecy - ultraviolet) and ive lsot them. Its a sad day for me coz that kandi reminded me of that night and how happy i was everytime i looked at them/wore them :(

as for the kandi, i do agree with meph. Life DOES go on, but i know how it meant alot to you. id have to put myself in your shoes to actually get more of an idea however..

Candy kids are an American/North America thing. When Hardcore came over from Europe, ravers started to dress all childish. The concept was to show off "childhood innocence" in a sense that kids like to make new friends give hugs, etc. Its a great way of welcoming new ravers to a scene. You give them a piece of candy. It is like a treasure, something that will remind you of that night. It is also about Unity, by trading candy or handing it out. Its not that big in other countries, Australia has a good candy scene. Its sorda like the fashion for Hardcore music/rave over here.
