If you cant get the equipment asap then is there any chance you could get virtual dj just so you can practise beatmixing. Or even if you cant get another media player with a speed option and play a tune on media player and a tune on the other media player and try to match it up etc....Basically just try to train your ear as much as possible.

slower mxing - you simply cut random tracks and glued em 2gether
try to merge them together so they flow more.
yeah I'm saying to hell with getting a car, and yeah I probably won't post anything new for quite some time xD. Also, I just learned about merging on this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aV2-GQCIjGw =P

What virtual DJ software would you recommend?

Oh boy.
You can start out with digital decks to get the basics...but at some point you'll have to decide how you want to present yourself and what kind of medium you are going to use.
There are very expensive options, and relatively cheap options. Either way, make sure to leave yourself lots of options. Do you want to use CD's? Do you want to use vinyl? Do you want to control mp3's with vinyl? Do you want to control mp3's with something else??
I mean, there are lots of options out there.
I suggest that you save up and get Traktor DJ Studio. It's got loads of great FX, and it's fairly useable without an external controller if you map your keys right. Also, if you ever do decide to get real decks, you can still use Traktor as your base, it's very flexible.
Just my two cents.

alright for now I'm gonna practice with Virtual DJ
Think if I get a good feel of a real deck with virtual DJ and spend enough time practicing, I should be good to hop right on to pioneer's djm-400 and cdj-800 mk2s and begin to practice off those?

^^Well, not instantly. But you should be familiar with at least the idea behind DJ'ing and roughly what sounds good and what you're doing to make that happen.
When you switch to real decks, things are gonna be different, you'll have more control, and more options, but it won't be the same thing.

yeah I'm really looking forward to all of the control. Hands > mouse pointer in my opinion, and once I do get the real decks I'll have 3 years to practice with them before I'm 18... I pray to God that I'm good at mixing by then :]

Dont worry anyone can get good in 3 years if there focused enough and dont give up when they fail...You never know you might have a natural talent for it like some of the guys on here....Just remember when you do eventually get equipment, practice practice practice.
