Pretty good! The mixdown gets weird as hell during the dnb part of the breakdown though. I suggest getting different drums (crash and 200khz heavy jump up drums should work just fine) and ditching the bitcrushing, because it takes up way more of the mix than it should. In general just try to keep the amount of upper & mids constant, because right now it's a big jump when the hardcore parts come back in. Liking the use of the UKG style organs too.
@djdaveyuk: Friday Night: Really digging it! Your high hat needs to have less midrange and a lot more high end, but other than that a very solid tune. And just some personal preference: the pads should have less attack on them so they hit a bit harder, and put in a vocal sample or two to give it a bit more of a hook.
Disco Rush: Cool stuff! Can't really think of anything to say other than nice work!
@acidfluxx: umm...I really hate to be mean, but I think you should go back and work on the, well, everything really. The lead could work in a silly, cheesy oldschool kind of way, but everything else needs an overhaul, especially in the area of sound design. There's potential, but you can't go using FL presets. I like your cover art though (but the lettering needs to be in a brighter, more neon color. silver doesn't stand out very well.)
@naturatech: Nice work! Pitch up your amens and you'll be set.
@mitchyboy: Oh dear. Donks? Were it me, I'd go with and oldschool bass stab a la "Get Up and Dance" by DJ Norman (then again, I hate hard house with a passion.) Loving the oldschool vibes though! The mixdown is nice and clean and the sample is great. The filter sweeps are a bit sudden, but it's a neat effect regardless.
Oh, and I felt like making another track, because oldschool hardcore is so very fun and easy to make. This one's a trancecore tune though. http://www.sendspace.com/file/p3du6t. Oh, and feel free to grab anything I post ITT and use it in the CD, Ken.

Cool. Drums still need some work though. They're way too quiet and they still need a lot more high end.
Also: god damn is that last song I posted cheesy. I think I managed to out cheese DJ Gollum.

@ Pope C XXIII:
Great tracks these m8! Your catching that old skool feel beautifully. I'm glad you've submitted some of these old sounding choon's as we were a bit short in that department so anything else that you might like to submit then just let me know bud ; ) thanks again
@ Tru Bass:
This is coming on really well now mate. The percussion is sounding much better & not getting trapped behind the melodies & beat anymore. There's also still a full month before you have to submit the track so keep at it or even start another, its up to you but keep up the good work!

Alright DJ Ken, I'm gonna do a version of Disco Rush with some samples or vocal stabs or something, see how it goes, I'll upload it soon enough.

That's sounds wicked mate, just remember the deadline is March 1st but there's still plenty of time. Also, I was meaning to say, is there anyway you could go back over the very start of the track mate. It seems to start really suddenly & is hard to get it to flow in from the last track.
Mabey just cut the beat out for a couple of extra bars & try & gradually bring the beat in & it wont start so sharply. Thanks Davey & keep up the good work. These are wicked tracks

Hi Big-EL, sorry for the late reply. This is the first chance i've had to check these out. Great tracks these & would go really well on the CD. I love the remix of Children that you've done. Thats wicked & catches the feel of the classic itself. Nice work. I also love the Akon one. A nice bit of cheese is always needed & would also go great on the CD. What i'm thinking is, if we were to have these on the CD the track name would have to look like this "Robert Miles - Children (Big-EL 09' Remix)" "Akon - Right Now (Big-EL 09' Remix)" so that the artists are at least getting a mention for their work. Great work mate & any others that you have that you think would go well on the CD then post them up m8 & i'll check em out
