i would love to hear the history of this fine site
like how did it all start, has the owner allways stayed silver, stuff like that
i read some where on here that it has been up for many of year
even back in the bb days
so i would love to hear about the history =D

Started in 1999, Forums started about 2001 (I think) and I came along in 2005 which is when the party really got going!

Once upon a time, in 1997, happyhardcore.com used to be a pornography site. But alas, the site died, still in it's infancy later that year. Then Silver came along three years later, grabbed the domain for himself, and gave happyhardcore.com a new life in the hardcore music genre.
The forums didn't come online until around 2 years later.

Im assuming that the forum started in febuary 2001 since thats when Silver joined. If it did thats pretty cool that i joined a month later lol :P

I assume too that the present site started in 2001. I think the site might have been owned by someone else and Silver or w/e bought the domain. IDK, I just remember hearing something about it a while back.
I joined in late 05, after I found out the Internet had radio and honestly stumbled upon DI.FM and later found the Hardcore channel.

HappyHardcore.com radio started end of 1998 before the site was up, it wasn't called happyhardcore.com radio then it was just "streaming hardcore tunes" or something because the site didn't exist. We were the first (happy) hardcore internet radio in the world, when I started the station there was only about 2 pages of radio stations (in full!) listed on shoutcast, so we were the first hardcore internet radio station. I pretty much started the station 1-2 weeks after shoutcast was first made :)
I picked up the domain around the same time, end of 98 or 99
I don't know who the previous owner was, I never got an email or complaint or anything, it use to be a porn site (not gay), the previous owner let the domain slip I think. You can actually see the old site if you use the waybackmachine on alexa (porn and all - this is your only warning). When I picked it up I just looked 1 day and it wasn't registered, back then 1 domain names cost 200 dollars, so it was expensive!
The site pretty much looked like this from 1998 until 2001-02-01 (according to alexa)

Graphics started then from Feb 2001, forum / members etc a few weeks later I assume since I joined in feb 2001, top page news a few months after that.

i remember trying looking at the site on school computers in 2001/02 it wouldnt let me because it had hardcore in the name :P
