Not sure what planet you're on, but paki is, indeed, a derogatory term for Pakistanis or (sometimes) people from southern Asia. If you want proof just ask a few random people on the street.

according to secondary research, more and more muslims are turning toward more extreme ideology.
that is not, NOT to say they are resorting to terrorism. however, It generally means they would go further to follow their beliefs. for example, the derby confrontation between two asian groups. pakistani's and another group.
Just because your belief maybe be a bit more extreme doesnt mean they resort to blowing people up.. that idea is so so ridiculous. al quieda is an organized group that has followers who may plot against democracy and christian beliefs. now, as far as I know, not every muslim is part of this group. that's obserd.
whilst there may be the few that plot, and the few that preach, the VAST majority 'settle and live good lives. even the extremists simply believe in something. no one should assume that that belief goes as far as following terrorist groups.
Disclaimer: i know very little on this subject, but im going on what ive learnt from documentaries. If i'm wrong or something i have said is offensive, I apologise.

about a year ago at my work[i work in a warehouse with people from many different countries and religions] i asked one guy his name mohammed hassan if he was from iraq he said to me no i am a paki then said pakistan

most country got a short term to who they are so why isit only paki that is classed as racist.
