Of course people on various boards will be angry and bitter once the new bonkers line-up and tracklist comes out! The only thing that doesn't make online Hardcore fans bitter is Hardcore Underground. :P Just wait 'til HU starts making money and becomes commercialised, that will be the end of all online hardcore hope! :P

Not really; people seem to hold Bonkers 3 in high regard and AFAIK that was the highest selling one in the series. ( over 100,000 for sure )
The real problem is when decisions get made w/ money heavily prioritised over music ( and the scene is gone ).
I truly don't see that happening.  In fact I'll wager that HU and associated parties are very unlikely to repeat the "mistakes" ( hey, it's interpretable, I doubt the people who own entire blocks of flats as result view them as such, lol ) of recent years as they've directly impacted us and those we admire.
As for Bonkers.... it's wait and see time. As usual I'm sure Sharkey's mix will be eminently to my taste, I'll be very suprised if there's much else for embittered cynics like me but who knows. Bonkers 17 was a genuine step in the right direction IMO, and it will be a shame if that isn't followed up by combining with the notable retail clout of AATW.

I think they should continue on with the # series. Starting over would just kill everything the series we know stands for. I would have loved to had seen Dougal part of the project though, he was a forerunner in the series too.

i sure won't have a problem with Sharkey's mix. but I am concerned that Hixxy's mix will sound just like the stuff he has for Clubland.
This is one album that I will def wait to hear the samples. It's a shame that HU3 is the only compilation out there I trust to sound good without hearing samples!
