i remember hixxy attempting a pacman style song.... it was pretty damn poor... but at least he tried to keep with the modern trend..
Are you talking about The Game (Zamboocan)?
This song is amazing!
'If Pacman had affected us as kids, we would now all be running around in dark rooms, munching on magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music'
Best Hardcore quote ever :P
I`m pretty sure Hixxy wasn`t the first person to say/use that.
You're right, I had heard it somewhere else before too! I can't remember where. I doubt it was in a Hardcore track though.

Differently? Please explain to me how, because all I hear is a melody made out of 8bit samples in all of these songs.
Also, Pacman Remix and Zamboocan aren't electro, they're Happy Hardcore... Unless you can explain to me how they are Elecro?
they are used in a sence where there isnt so much a definitive melody. pacman for example was based more around all the noices and 8-bit parts. thats in contrast to eufeion, who based the 8 bit noises around a melody. it generally had the structure of a hardcore song, whilst zaboocan and pacman dont..
and they aren't happy... happy hardcore is something you'll have to research, my friend..

No definitive melody? In zamboocan? you should take another listen man, really. The melody is no less preeminent than in Zelda's Ass
And it's true the Pacman melody isn't exactly the most complex, but it's still there!

Excuse me? XD
I call Hardcore that is happy and cheery Happy Hardcore. I don't believe Happy Hardcore stopped being produced, therefore I still use that term. I don't deny the existence of UK Hardcore, although I think the term is often used by people unwilling/embarassed to assume the silly name of the music they listen to.
I'm a Happy Hardcore dj and own over 400 records in that style ranging from anywhere between 1995 and 2009, so no I don't need any researching done on that matter! I know my music, thank you very much :P

but.....that isnt the best arguement fodder ive ever seen..
out of 400 records it would seem that less than 20 of them are from before 2000
Check my wantlist then! :P Older records are very hard to come by, especially when you live in Canada. Don't tell me you too are questionning wheter or not I know what Happy Hardcore is, and that I should research it further?? XD

Oh how I wish I could just win the lottery and order every single record I need, no matter how expensive it is how how much I will be ripped-off with shipping... Someday maybe! XD At the moment though, my wantlist keeps growing along with my collection.

It's the best way i've found to keep a reliable inventory of my collection, plus it's accessible everywhere. The wishlist is also a good tool to look for rare stuff, although it's rarely ever reasonably priced...
