This is exactly what hardcore doesn't need, but have fun with that.

It's exactly what Hardcore does need but fortunately this split already exists and is getting stronger by the day!

You're not serious are you?
Hardcore needs fresh faces on the UK scene, I'm also sick of seeing the same lineup at gig after gig. It gets old fast.

No, we shouldn't separate though.
I am not saying that we shouldn't allow new faces in... but we shouldn't kick out the old either. It would be a lot better if all the hardcore music could just co-exist rather than have 2 sides fighting each other all the time.

Couldn't disagree with you more.
Hardcore has had the sample people releasing tracks, albums, DJing & MCing for far too long. It's time for certain people to move over and let the newcomers take control. Hardcore is stagnant for the most part because up and comers are not been given a fair shake of the stick.

Read my last post.
And yes they have. The last four albums I've bought have all been of newcomers and not the big old men. There are way more albums coming out with new and independent artists than there are the big old people, in other words, Clubland. That comes out once a year, and the up and coming artists get tons of chances to get their music out in the year with other albums.
To be honest Hixxy, Styles, all them, it seems like people don't even care about them anymore! The new artists are the only ones we care about. So when you make a group about splitting the divide even more, you're just beating the dead horse and it's starting to get annoying.
Maybe I just missed the point of the group.

well said
the old boys wanna go clubland? let them.. im not sayin the should stop.. fair play to them.. but need fresh blood need to take over. imagine being in a job that you love doin but always being stuck at the bottom? yea you might say you will just change job.. but thats not the issue.. to some people hardcore is a passion and you cant just change.
now some of the OAPs of hardcore have lost the passion.. and need to be given the boot...

Edit: And you can't forget the recent release of COH4... see, it's not all that bad.

so you're saying kick out the people who have basically built the scene back up to what it is now?
the scene will split but, its to do with what the fans want to hear, its not the dj's fault, there just trying to make a living at the end of the day...but they they should still have passion and not just go for greed
a lot of new talent is coming through, just be patient.

OH, and Viva la Raver is coming out at the end of the summer, and we already have HU4 news.
There is a lot of stuff that has new talent on it coming out. Just look around. The only thing that doesn't let in n00bs I can see in the distance is Clubland, which comes out in the winter.

Non of these albums are what you would call "mainstream" so I would still have to disagree with your point. Take the last two "big" albums that have been released.
Bonkers (18) - Mixed by Sharkey, Unknown & Hixxy < All been around for years. And most tracks on that album are by people who have been in the scene for a long time. Very few newcomers.
Helter Skelter vs Raindance - The Sound Of Hardcore 2009 - Mixed by Slipmatt & Bunter < FFS. Loads of tracks from people who have been in the scene for years. Very few newcomers.

Yeah true, in terms of mainstream a lot of new people aren't getting a good chance to shine.
I look deeper than that though, because beneath the mainstream we have loads of awesome stuff out.
