Those tunes are all fantastic, but I do agree that 2009 has been a slightly disappointing year for hardcore. Hopefully we will see some fresh faces in 2010 as well as some slammin' tracks.

I would also include every single track (except #4) from the Darwin & Fracus disc of HU4, I love all of them, a lot. Also most of the tracks on disc 4 of the same compilation, especially 'Mood Music', which would be at the top of the list. The Darwin & Fracus disc is my favourite mix of all time, as is the Oli G & Lost Soul in terms of freeform, really want to see more collaboration from these two.
There is many many songs that have featured on the Next Generation Records Podcasts from 3 to 8 which are worthy of being listed here, although some are not released yet.
In my honest opinion, 2009 has been an awesome year for underground hardcore. Darwin would be (by a very long golden mile) my favourite producer and DJ. Hardcore Underground followed by Next Generation Records being my favourite labels.
If you have never listened to the NG podcasts I would highly recommend them, you get a preview of a lot of forthcoming tunes over many labels (not just NG) and a huge dose of crazy humour from Brisk & Fracus plus a superb guest mix every week. (Awesome ones so far by Darwin, Supreme & UFO, Kutski and apparently next months is Scott Brown!!!)
