On his site he says: PLEASE no requests to remix my tracks and no unauthorised remixes will be accepted. Get some talent, make your OWN music, that's how I did it!

As far as I know, many of his tracks are remixes, no? Stolen remixes actually! I think it's totally stupid to say something like that.. I could tell him the same, make your OWN music, that's how other people, who's tracks you've stolen, did it!

And when it comes to tracks like "All About You" everything he done was placing some beats and playing a synth. Cat Knight told me it was her who has written the lyrics, who sung it of course but also who has written the melody of the whole track. And Scott Brown doesn't even want to give her an acapella!

Sure he's paid her for it, but I still think it's a bit.. weird..

I always had the impression Scott Brown's stuck up his own ass, and so far nothing has denoted that impression. I don't even see why some people think he is that great, he's made some great tunes alright but... yeah.

Revs is right.

From a listeners point of hearing, he's mugged off one hell of allot of people.

lol, exactly! I bet even Elysium is stolen from somwhere.. does anyone know from where maybe?

Sure his tunes are good and he turned them into, well I won't say something better, but into somehting good, let's say into another genre (!) but for me that is no reason to write something like that on his site, it just makes him look stupid imo...

i don't really like scott brown too.

i respect him because his talented and he had given a lot for hardcore.

i like his tracks because of they are classics, i mean, push it or livewired are maybe 6 or 7 years old and they're still awesome and seems young !
when i want to play a scott brown classic, i don't care about the track i was playing before, i know that those 2 tracks are going to be alright.

you can mix everything with a scott brown track, that's a reason of my respect for him

but what i don't like is that his seems very aggressive, not a pleasant guy
i'm not judging him, i can't and i don't want to, but that the idea i have of him.

also, when i see what he said to dj revs, i think this is not totally wrong: when you begin to produce music, do a remix is not the best training, creating your own music by starting to nothing is better. but is it a solution to say that like that ? no, i don't think so. what's his problem by doing a remix of his tracks ?
first of all, doing a remix is not hell ! if the remix is good, he could be more famous, win more money, only positive things, and if the remix is bad, who'd signed it ? he don't take any risks, and it could give motivation to some people wich could be the upcoming talent of tomorrow !

scott brown is weird on my opinion to say that. i speak like if someone you'd stole or destroy his work...

what wrong by create a remix of you mr brown ??

I don't think he cares about being famous since he opted out of having his sets on cd packs quite a while ago....

Well the track IS titled "Scott Brown AND Cat Knight - All About You". This suggests to me that she did more than just the vocals, or wouldn't it be "Scott Brown FEATURING Cat Knight?" That's how I see it anyway. Even so, just because she wrote the melody doesn't mean he didn't have to do any work. The track just doesn't fall into place right after a melody is established.

Also, he's not saying "REMIXES ARE BAD, DON'T MAKE THEM." You left out the part that says "No Exceptions to this otherwise legal action CAN be taken" so he probably just doesn't want people making money off of remixes of his tunes. Again, I don't know for sure, that's just my guess.

agree with this! and why single out God anyway? all music is re-cycled, especially dance music, to me it looks like hes just sick of wannabe's steeling his tunes!

He's made a point of not following the raverbaby route.

@doc: singleing him out because he is being blatantly hypocritical.

Scott Brown is/was great, although he really fails at delivering nowadays. His countless anthems are impossible to forget, but it's true that most of them have been made up of an already popular vocal, melody or sample.

The most disappointing thing about Scott Brown is his scary haircut.
