Anyone ever done it? Know someone that's done it? Heard legit stories about it?
Thinking of doing it this weekend. I'm pretty logical/cynical and thus can't really see the horror stories and reports being genuine. That said, there are so bloody many of them. Must be something to it?

I'm not sure either. I guess I'd like to think that spirit/paranormal stuff exists, but, I can't see how it does. You die, you die. Brain, body - rots, disappears. That's it.
I didn't, no. I knew it was on, but didn't catch it. Any good?
I saw a poster for the DVD release of Paranormal Activity when I was out at lunch, and it got me thinking.

It was good yea... Made the medium out to be a lying prick and shown a few tricks they pull out of the bag... Just confirmed what i already knew lol...
I beleive in reincarnation so obviously the spirit world comes with that. I dont think humans have the power/ability to contact the dead its just exploitation amd some people who have lost someone close are vunrable to it and reeled in that way...

Christ that film was rubbish. Saw it in the cinema and I can safely say it is the worst piece of crap I've ever sat through. Rubbish story, nothing happens, not even scary. It really has nothing going for it.

Bored + Unlimited card at the cinema. ;) If I had paid specifically to see it I would have asked for my money back. :P

One of the greatest horror films of all time & there are different endings. Wouldn't mind a peice of the girl in it myself

Horror in general is an absolutely terrible genre. I think the only people it really appeals to is teenagers.

I'd say it's far from one of the greatest of all time, but yeah, it WAS good. It's just different tastes. I was scared shitless when i saw it. If you have preconceived notions of what something is going to be like... well... it's going to be like that.
We saw it the day it came out, with nobody who had seen it before, and i'll tell you, the whole cinema was screaming.

Seriously? At what. I could have fallen asleep. Obviously not a big girls blouse like you Andy. I've heard too much cock can have that effect on a person. ;)

Yeah I'd agree with that. The odd one or two films are good but the rest are just clones of the last with different people and none of them have any real substance. I thought this one may break the mould a bit and it had loads of great reviews but it was just terrible.

About a year ago my mate did one in his shed, i obviously stud away but even though i wasn't no were near it i still shit myself.
The letters get picked by the glass but before he had time to finish it he through it away, there was a green flashing light, the glass was moving on it's own, we all legged it. But i would never ever do one.
Why the **** would you ?
Youdont think things can happen in the spiritual world, but seriously bad things can happen...

Mmm, some interesting stuff here.
1) Paranormal Activity - I rated. Just in the same way that I rated The Blair Witch Project. Both films scared me s**tless. I have a friend who quite literally hates both of these films. I can't see why? I thought they were suspenseful and realistically acted. The fear of what you can't see and all that biz. Still, matter of taste.
2) Smoogie. Yes, I would most definitely do the girl from Paranormal Activity. A striking chest as well, if I recall correctly.
3) Ionosphere/Scotty - these are the kinds of things/stories that are intriguing. I can't work out whether it's worth the risk, or whether I should listen to the pragmatic side of my brain and say "This stuff surely can't exist".
Bah. Dunno.

Paranormal Activity scared me shitless when I watched it the first time, but that's because I hadn't heard it was just another movie. I thought it was another documentary like that Haunting show on Discovery. It also had to do with the fact that I saw the good ending, not the theatrical. The theatrical ending is this ******** where she throws him at the camera or something, in my version she kills him downstairs and you don't see anything, just hear screams and such, then she sits by the bed rocking for two days until her friend comes to check on her and finds the dead guy.
Regardless, I watched it again and found it to be a nice break from the normal scary movie with a deranged killer on the run and sexy bitches screaming hysterically. The movie caught me as a real work of art, they used a light touch, just enough to make it scary while keeping it believable. I've noticed that a lot of people watch scary movies with the disposition that it's going to suck, and therefore those people aren't going to like any scary movie they watch...

It exists, it's not 'paranormal' as people call it, it is perfectly normal but the wise man knows to leave it alone.
