I love the snow! It just doesnt snow that much where I'm at ><
Take mine, I just got hit with snow. The worst part is, it isn't really "snow" it's mostly slush which will freeze over and be all god damn icy!
We got like 4-6 inches over where I'm at, the only bad thing that happened here was the snow was powdery and we had like 30mph winds. Kinda sucks driving with icy roads and wind. But I still like the cold :D
I saw twelve cars spin out.
3/4 of them had 4x4, I win!

Lol, doesn't 3/4 of the population have 4x4 in America? ;P Huge fuel-monsters produced by Chevrolet or GMC, even though they aren't even thinking of going offroad and as such could do with a Toyota? ;P Winter tyres could actually be more useful than 4x4 btw, although 4x4 sure helps.
I'm not a crazy environmentalist, personally, I just think it's waste of money to have a beast of a car like that, when you don't actually need it. I'm an aspiring earth scientist and as such know that the rise in temperature could be natural; the earth has been warmer many times in the past. There's never been dumped as much CO2 into the atmosphere as there is now, though, and with logging etc. there are a lot less trees to absorb it through photosynthesis, so we could be accelerating the rate at which the temperature is rising. Ofc new trees grow, just gotta make sure we don't log faster. Currently the earth is in aphelion when there's summer on the northern hemisphere, so we have to be prepared for considerably warmer summers in about 13,500 years :p
Sorry about the digression ;)

Actually there have been much larger CO2 'dumps' in the atmosphere, this is the largest man made dump but it pales in significance to what the rift volcanoes did in the past. The deccan plains used to have a very large rift volcano which released the equivalent to all of the CO2 in our current atmosphere in one eruption, luckily the only rift volcanoes we have active are sub-marine and the CO2 is absorbed before it reaches the surface.

@ the 3/4 4x4 thing. Not the case anymore, I even live in a redneck area (the ones who use trucks for mudding) and most of them dont have 4x4 petrol guslers. Most people that dont have super high paying jobs dont get those trucks, or have them only for fun but have a economy car.
People are seeing if you get a small truck or small car that gets 25+mpg rather than 8mpg then you have more money and you can go more places.
Its a waste to have a car like that, Ford f250 super duty with a crew cap on 38" tires lifted over a foot. And you only get around 17mpg...
What a waste.
Hotlinking is working again...
