maybe people should stop strating threads about it. A reaction thread and a clips thread ARE NOT NEEDED.

Doc, post your feedback in the CXH7 thread. You posted a new thread for your reaction having skimmed thru it. Pointless much.

They have all been different threads about different aspects of the CD during the build up to the release. Now it's out then yeah, stick to one thread.

It always amazes me the way some people act on here. It's a hardcore music discussion forum which people hardly post on any more, let alone start new threads. A release comes along that *shockingly* is appropriate to this forum and people get slagged off for talking about it. It's no wonder tons of people have stopped posting on here. Has anyone noticed the lack of posts from established producers these days? If this is the reaction a high profile album gets from the "so called fans" then why would they want to visit here? To have their work slagged off by a bunch of people who, for the most part, don't have the talent to make/produce anything that comes even close to the standard of this album? Look at some of the reactions to the Gisbo album due for release soon. Same thing. Hoodzie released Ravers Addition 6 and a lot of the "so called fans" didn't even bother to give feedback...these guys don't HAVE to do this, they want to do it for you guys, the fans. Sometimes I wonder why they bother.

The attitude of some members on this site truly is ridiculous

What annoys me most of all is that alot of the tracks start with a great synth and vocal and it's really encouraging, but then the bass kicks in with all this farting up and down and then the synth gets cut to bits and ruined. Theres's about 12 good tracks which isn't bad for 8 and none of them are on breeze's disk which isn't a suprise at all.

Do you really think UK hardcore should follow exactly the same break-build-euphoria formula in all tracks? Each to their own of course, but surely a minimal drop here and there in a set works well to keep things more interesting and less formulated?

Couldn't agree more Torpex.

This is another thing that annoys me about this forum (this isn't directed at you Vladel btw), people always bitch and complain that hardcore needs a change in direction, fresh sounds and no new talent is breaking through. Along comes this album which pretty much satisfies all of the above criteria and it gets slated. What do the musicians have to do to satisfy people these days? I bet if you where to make an album in a 1000 foot deep mineshaft using sticks banging on rocks people on here would still complain saying it's too commercial and "not underground enough".

I understand where Vladel is coming from though. This newly popular sound in Hardcore is quite different from what we've come to expect and love from UK Hardcore, so It will take more getting used to for certain people than others, and some might never like it at all. I don't see this kind of criticism as slating, as there is far worse trolling and disrespect going around. I remember saying the exact same as Vladel about HTID3, but I can't say I agree that it applies to CXH7. The electro-crass sound is still present, but doesn't outweight the rest this time around.

This sound is VERY far from being dominant though - if you listen to the broad UK hardcore spectrum, the electro/minimal influenced tracks are few and far between.

I like alot of gabba and freeform as well as hardstyle and hard dance so my tastes are also broad.
I have also enjoyed the CXH series and possess all of them, i was merely making a statement about a heavily prevelant sound in the album and not the scene as a whole.

Thanks to jumping to that conclusion for me, here i was thinking we were talking about an album. I'd also like to point out that there are 12 good tracks on it as i pointed out in a previous post. so i'm not trolling.

I know what you mean.
That sound kills what could be a great tune from start to finish.
It just dosent appeal to me.

It's definitely not dominant of course! It's most likely a phase too, like triplets Hardcore in the last years. Any of these strong derogations to the typical UK Hardcore sound are bound to be controversial amongst the fan base, but also contribute to expanding said fan base.

I find Could it be Real? to be a bit of an aural nightmare.

Take away the vocal and the trancy riff and it might be a decent track.
