Do you really think UK hardcore should follow exactly the same break-build-euphoria formula in all tracks? Each to their own of course, but surely a minimal drop here and there in a set works well to keep things more interesting and less formulated?
Couldn't agree more Torpex.
This is another thing that annoys me about this forum (this isn't directed at you Vladel btw), people always bitch and complain that hardcore needs a change in direction, fresh sounds and no new talent is breaking through. Along comes this album which pretty much satisfies all of the above criteria and it gets slated. What do the musicians have to do to satisfy people these days? I bet if you where to make an album in a 1000 foot deep mineshaft using sticks banging on rocks people on here would still complain saying it's too commercial and "not underground enough".
COULD'NT HAVE SAID IT ANY BETTER MYSELF.

I like electro, but I don't think it really does fit into the hardcore tempo.

They said that about trance when they first used it in hardcore productions.
Electrocore will get better as producers get more experienced with the sound.

I illegally downloaded this.and tbh honest I'm glad I did... I'm not paying for something that has no djs mixing at all, that's not ****ing mixing... its more of a playlist on a ipod/mobile/mp3 player kind of thing... **** paying for that... it has some good tunes on it but other cds I buy will have them on or just as good...
I'm going to save my money from this and by that thumper ultimate freeform cd anyway...

This sounds to me like a lame excuse for filesharing. The material is still there and should be paid for, whatever format it's presented in. Don't like, don't buy. Now will you dump the whole folder you downloaded illegally because it's not mixed on decks? Let me doubt that.

General opinion so far is slightly more positive than negative.
Styles' CD is fairly pleasant, no longevity whatsoever but that's modern hardcore for you! Quite enjoyed ReCon's mix of 'We can have it all' - probably because it's just Sigma's remix with a kick slapped over the top!
Breeze's CD is pretty laughable to be honest, could hardly believe some of what i was hearing in places!
Some of Hixxy's is ok, some not.
Not sure if it's a good thing that i had low expectations from the start so i wouldn't be disappointed.
I'll be very surprised if it's anywhere near my CD player in a weeks time.

That's how you have to approach this series now

Honestly this album is pretty decent from the previews i heard imo BUT just like in the 3rd, 5th & 6th one, breeze's cd has been so atrocious that it outweighs all the good on this album, and so i'm not getting it because of that. They really need to get rid of him the series would do so much better without him.

I'm really sad to agree :( I used to LOVE Breeze's stuff, and to a certain extent I still do, but he does come up with some awful tracks a little too often these days.

I have to agree file sharing is file sharing. AATW will hire Scott Brown in his new profession when they hear this. To go after any of those who file share with a meat clever. After all he is in charge of PAID:)

I am amused at people arguing if this is a good cd biased on the fact it had 3-5 good songs over FOUR CDS

Regarding mixed etc.
I believe that the physical CD is mixed whereas the digital/itunes version are the tracks in their entirety. I've seen this done on other compilations before too.
