Hooray!
Lesson hard learned, here, slipping a week (see: HU3 catalog number catastrophe) seems to be better than actually changing release dates. (see: HU5 manufacturer F*** up catastrophe)
Keep it comin'!

Without a method of time travel, no. As I said, never ever changing the release date after the fact appears to be the way to avert this happening again.
Presumably amazon will start shipping tommorow.

Just got home from walking around and visiting at the mall, and opened my mailbox and omg this was in it!

can't believe it's here already! I didn't pre-order it and AB dropped it off at the post office on Wednesday I believe! Will definitely order my cds from HBD in the future. Even though postage is a bitch, I'm very impressed with how fast it got here!

Amazon have "released" it, and are apparantly now shipping.
HU will not be liable for injuries sustained, likely when fainting, upon hearing this news.

The series has always had some utter belting tunes on there and they usually get 3 -4 minutes and if i get 8 tracks like that i can put on my ipod i'm happy with the purchase and the last CXH gave me ten and in my opinion outshone HU2010.
It does what it says on the tin and doesn't deviate from it, it just gets better. HU5 literally gave me 5 for my ipod and i think one of them made 4 minutes and that's why i'm pissed.
you're clearly a clubland person, so it makes sense for you to say that. Here, on the other hand, most of the HU supporters are ppl who look for another outlet other than the CXH series. And the Hardcore Underground series has always been the best at that! And if anything, CXH was better at the beginning, compared to the rubbish it has turned into. And the majority of ppl with a diverse taste in UK/upfront/freeform hardcore music will agree.

Alright so I'm done with listening to CD1 and currently playing out CD2, with about 5 tracks left.
CD1: The first half of this one is, for lack of a better and less offensive word, terrible. It was just so sporadic, and the mixing itself was almost nonexistent. All About Evolution was probably the worst thing for me out of that whole half of the cd.
The second half was much better, and flowed better. and Essential Mega-Muffin was just a way better track than what All About Evolution was trying to be. The overall cd was not as impressive though. This is where having almost 30 tracks is a bad idea. Most of these tracks were fillers, and it's like they were cramming so much out of desperation to represent every single thing they are/have worked on. Less would have been more here.
Not sure who's to blame, either Al Storm or Technikore. Al Storm was brilliant with Kutski in HU4, but there were a lot of mixed feelings with his collaboration with Marc Smith on HU3, and here there's a lot of that same off-ness that put off some ppl for his HU3 album. And there was just too much of Technikore. I know you want to show off your style, but come one stop hogging the damn cd lol. This CD was more fitting for HU2010 rather than what the regular Hardcore Underground series is known for.
Nearing the end of CD2, and I just love this album! It's everything that Hardcore Underground represents! Fracus, Darwin, and Brisk did an incredible job! I'm not keen on having a trio on one album, but it's never been a downfall on the HU albums.
As far as the whole album is concerned, I wish the artwork was a little more colorful, like in HU3 & HU4. And going back to having a trio of djs on an album, why is it that Darwin is always screwed over on this??? He's had to deal with two other djs on HU2, HU3, and now on HU5! My personal favorites cds he's done have on these series is when he's only had to work with one other dj. The other three are still great, but I don't get why he's always pushed back a little. I'd rather you lose the 9th dj and just keep the lineup similar to HU4.
But all in all, so far great work! will give the rest of my opinion on CD 3 & 4 after my big Thanksgiving feast!
