Brilliant news! As I said on Facebook somewhere, getting Drum n Bass fans involved in Hardcore is definitely a challenge and anyone who's been to Westfest will probably be able to attest to that.

I don't like paying for damaged new goods

E-mail them and ask for a replacement; they'll probably ask you to post your one back but they should send a new one out first and only charge you again if you fail to return the damaged item within a certain timeframe.
We actually changed the packaging design back to a HU1 style digipack, albeit with an extra panel, *specifically* to improve durability (I'll always have a soft spot for the cool fold out Cd holder(s) we had on HU3/4 though ) with the trade off of increased thickness overall.

CDJay has there been any plans to release a digital version a bit later on? I know it's probably not a good idea right off the bat as it'll no doubt encourage file sharers but I find so many of my raver friends in America complaining about CXH going dubsteppy and when I link them to HU5 previews they love it but have never even heard of the HU series and are unsure of how to get it without paying loads for shipping etc. I can see both sides of it but just thought you might like to know there is definitely an enthusiastic audience missing out.

The main series, certainly, won't be going digital anytime soon as it will likely render the physical product untenable and kill the collectors aspect. A lot of digital vendors expect unmixed tracks, which we don't chase the rights for when licensing, and even if that was a non issue I'm loathed to supply either full tracks (bad for artists and labels) or edits (likely to piss off buyers).
This time next year there won't be many, if any, other physical CD hardcore compilations through major vendors so it behooves so to protect the banner at all costs
However we shall make more of an effort to liase with our distributor and some major vendors in each region to minimise shipping costs (we've already done this in Japan, so future artist albums alongside the main series will be more easily available).
In other news, stock is very low and HU5 will likely be deleted sometime in the next week or so leaving only what vendors already have.

Okay cool, I definitely do understand the physical thing, if you can let us know what the cheapest shipping option is for North America for future CDs though (when you get the info) I'm sure it'd be much appreciated by the Americans here and would help me spread the word to my friends too.

AFAIR hardbeatsdownload.com offers very sensible international shipping rates (not 100% sure). Might be a good idea to prod Alex so that he stocks up on more HU CDs next time. ;)

This is the only album on my phone atm, and Im still not bored of it. CD2 is untouchable. CD3 also very good. Not given 1 or 4 a look in so far. I want to hear 4 again. We all know my thoughts on CD1.
Just a great album in the end. Glad I got it!

Definitely, production-wise HU is wiping the floor with just about everything everyone else is doing right now. Everyday I notice it more and more news comes through about how some HU artists are destroying TID. I hope the next HU event is near London, I desperately wanna hear this stuff out.

Same goes for me, I always seem to go back to these two cds as opposed to the other two and everything else on my phone.

ah one of the "blast out the core on my phone/bus crew"
it is a good album not even going to bother with clubland or HTID until they turn it into something like this

I feel like Bring it Back did it first, but I'm not entirely sure.
