Event thread: http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=60377 If you're thinking about coming to this event, or are a bit unsure - don't be! It's fcuking MAGNIFICENT, and the crowd is right up there with Hard Beats, Munted! and Stomp!.

On occasions I've had to stay sober I've just bought a shit loads of non alcoholic Becks purely for taste purposes but they probably won't sell them in the club.
Hope that helps :P

I sometimes feel more tired if I drink!

I'm used to it so comes easily to me, even at my age (cue number1)
Never had a problem lasting all night (cue number 2).
I think it's all about pacing yourself, start off slowly and go for it more as the night goes on (cue number 3).
You'll still be shattered by the end but at least you won't have pulled out early - also known in the trade as 'doing a Jay'. :-P

:D LOL!
You just can't say anything on this forum can you?
I don't usually drink...or at least drink much at a rave and when I do it tends to be the "harder" stuff that no normal person would consider drinking at a rave - solely because I like it and it doesn't slosh about when you're prancing and frolicking around :)

LOL! Absolutely mustard! Love all of that.
I am gonna throw a little hissy fit (fitting, since I'm actually listening to Club Tropicana as I type this [George really is out of this world]) about this leaving early business! I've done really well this year! Midas has been giving me a proper hard time about this as well. My performance this year:
Hard Beats - finished at 6am, I left at 6am.
Hardcore Underground - finished at 6am, I left at 6am.
Sinistry - finished at 6am, I left at 6am.
Stomp! - finished at 5am, I left at 5am.
Hard Beats - finished at 6am, I left at 6am.
Hardcore Underground - finished at 6am, I left at 6am.
Munted! - finished at 6am, I left at 4am.*
*And it was a group decision to leave, not just me being wasted!
End of strop! :-)

Ha ha! Classic!
Decent tactic, though. I did one rave this year where I just had the occasional tequila, and nothing else. Worked a treat.

I don't drink and if I did, I'd probably just fall asleep.
Personally, though, I couldn't make it through any kind of all-night event without some sort of chemical assistance.

I have raved sober for many years. I don't rave regularly, but if I do drink it's just 1 or 2. I take it easy, chat, and dance when I feel like it. But I also have chronic fatigue so I can't really go all out like I used to anyways. (10 years ago sober I could dance from 10pm til the sun came up no problem.) Good luck!

I think this might actually apply to me as well; I feel constantly lethargic to an abnormal extent. I often take amphetamines for it. If you took amphetamines, do you reckon it would help?
Definitely not saying you should or anything, I'm just curious about whether I have the same problem.

I don't touch amphetamines. With chronic fatigue all sorts of things are screwed up in your body and that would make it MUCH worse long term, but it's a disease of exclusion so basically the docs can't figure out what's wrong and slap that label on it. This was diagnosed after many years of struggling (and I still am - just not as badly) so I suggest seeing your doc or a naturopath if you're still feeling rough when you cut out the stimulants. By their very nature any stimulants will result in a roller coaster for your body and leave you worn out/lethargic when you are not on them as a rebound, even caffeine does that. For me, if I even eat sugar or starchy foods it also causes me a pretty severe reaction so I stick with meat and non-starchy vegetables only.
And Jacek (Jacket?) - you can have all of mine too
