Honestly don't know why Technoboy is on there, he's a Hardstyle DJ, might aswell chuck DeadMau5 and Skrillex on there too!
I noticed Breeze ain't on any DJ or Producer list, or the lifetime achievement list, maybe all the voters read the S3rl vs Breeze post haha!

hah! I'm sure it's more than that. He brought it upon himself, using more and more DnB in his tracks and mixes does turn away people. They don't consider it "real" hardcore, so they're not going to vote for him because of that.
Either way, he was never a groundbreaking DJ or producer all on his own in my opinion, but he sure loves to sound and like he is, or thinks he deserves to be treated like one. Dougal is almost on the same boat as him, but at least he seems to have a much better and friendlier personality than Breeze does.

Ludicrous.
The fact that Technikore isn't up for best producer just makes the whole thing null and void.
But does anyone actually care about the awards anymore? Apart from people that got into hardcore this year of course.

So happy to be on that list, both albums on there too, great!
If the freeform lot listened to me in the first place and agreed on one name to vote for there would be more actual freeform DJs on that list...what a shocker eh lads.

Technikore placed top 4 last year in that category.
This year he's been much less active, if you take the awards as indicative of what is going on in any given period (a stretch, I grant you) it's not entirely unreasonable.
The irony, as always, is that if more people actually voted based on what is happening rather than whinging then it would prove more representative.
At least the whole "it's rigged" crap has died down a bit this year, if you look at the shortlists it is clear that it's based on voting. I truly enjoyed people trying to say that we were in some way fast-tracked and favourite whilst my main DJs played warm up sets at one of three major raves.
It's actually been much harder to predict the last couple of years, things have hit a point where it's no longer obvious what could happen in any field.
I actually think the major fields have everything to play for this year. Not for anything I'd claim a stake in, and I am fully prepared for the fact that it's incredibly unlikely we (HU) will fare as well this year as last. That said, what did we get for "winning"? Two out of three of the major promoters still essentially ignore us, and any benefit we got was industry side. I genuinely cannot be bothered to explain our existence having merit again to enraged punters with summary judgements based on the status quo so I actually hope we land where I expect on this round.
Means we can focus on doing what we do, rather than what we hope someone somewhere might notice without flashing lights.

Ok you do realize how ridiculous that sounds?
If we put all of our vote on one particular nominee, it would have guaranteed just that one nominee to be eligible for the final vote. I don't know how supporting one particular DJ would have miraculously given other djs a chance to be in the final vote.
In fact if we would have put our vote towards someone other than you or Douglas, quite possibly one of you would not have made it in, or maybe even both of you. You have to take into account the complete fucking idiots in the UK, and probably the US too, that don't have a clue that Fracus & Darwin, Marc Smith and Kutski are not full-time freeform djs. They probably think that since the hardcore they mix and produce sounds a bit different than what the FW people shit around with, that must be what freeform is.

The shortlist is a load of rubbish anyway, any 'Joe Nobody' can vote for themselves or spam and beg for votes and make the shortlist which has obviously happened in categories in recent years..... it's the results that count, and aslong as the winner of each category truly deserves it, i have no problem with it, it's only when i see people/labels/events who have obviously worked their bollocks off all year get beaten by fanboys/fangirls votes, who just vote for who/what they've heard of... you know, the ones who ask you if you've heard DJ Hixxy - Heart of Gold?

Yeah probably in the US too
I don't believe they influence the voting that much considering that there are a lot of UK hardcore fans here in the US that don't actually keep up with the scene that well and even are less knowledgeable about the existence of the HH awards.
